I am beyond grateful to have gotten to spend 4 incredible nights at the Terrace House Inn, part of A Mother's Rest respite. It is a gorgeous house with a beautiful yard (where I'd watch the chipmunks and birds come and go to the birdfeeder each morning!). Even more wonderful was the rare and critically needed chance to get to spend time with other moms of kids with challenging health issues who just GET IT. #solidarity This is such an amazing idea for a non-profit and I hope that others will support it. We parents need to recharge - this is a life-long tough slog for our kids, and for us as well. A Mother's Rest allowed me to do that and get the support from other amazing moms that I desperately needed.
