Review for Hazon Yeshaya Institutions Jerusalem, Jerusalem, , Israel
On my recent trip to Israel I was extremely impressed by the work done by Hazon Yeshaya in helping the poor. Anyone from a first world country who visits would be surprised at the numbers of people lining up to receive their daily hot meal from this institution.
While I was there I was shown the free dental clinic with its first class, modern equipment.
But to me, what is even more impressive is the vocational training that Hazon Yeshaya offers (also free to clients) that helps people, who may have never had to opportunity to earn a living, to train in a field where they will hopefully be able to support themselves. In fact some people who previously relied on hot meals did training and are now volunteering at Hazon Yeshaya themselves. I was fortunate in meeting one such woman who had done the hairdressing course and now is able to work from home.
A truly wonderful organisation which is unfortunately vital today.
