I visited Lawton Place Manor in Mt. Airy, GA with my mother over Mother’s Day weekend 2021. This nonprofit and the service they provide is the most impactful I have ever been fortunate enough to receive. As the parent to a child with multiple disabilities, I have fought for over 12 years for my child - with the government, schools, medical provider, therapy providers, you name it, I’ve done it. It is a hard and exhausting job. I would do anything for my child but the stress and exhaustion is real. Having a place to go and rest at a price that is affordable was truly incredible. I can’t wait to go back and I now recommend it to everyone I know that cares for a family member with a disability.
