I have volunteered with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County for the past 6 years; first as a judge in the Conflict Resolution Day Bookmark Art Contest, and then as a member of the Advisory Committee. It is very clear how successful the Center is as there are only 3 paid staff, but over 50 volunteers! How many non-profits have this many volunteers willing to go through a 64 hour class before they can even begin to help someone? Not many. This is a direct result of their Executive Director, Elaine Roberts, who is passionate about helping others work through their conflicts, is committed to our community, and is clearly making a difference in the lives of so many. I am so proud to be associated with this agency and I highly recommend them.
