Elaine Roberts leads a top-notch team of talented individuals who have their hearts in the right place. Their commitment to helping individuals navigate conflict with empathy and understanding is truly remarkable. In a world where disagreements can often lead to division, The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County stands out as a model of compassion and effectivement.
Mediator was awesome. Very clear explanations, very patient and worked hard to get agreement done and signed. Very impressed.
I've been a board member for the DRC and have participated in its trainings. There is no question in my mind that the DRC's executive director, staff, and mediators work tirelessly to promote high-quality mediations and conflict resolution training for the benefit of Montgomery County and beyond. The DRC is a well-run organization; actually, it is a superbly run organization. It's leadership cares about people and wants to make sure that all people are in a better place. The organization is a good shepherd of its finances. I'm so blessed to be a part of the DRC in so many different ways, and I think that the vast majority of people who encounter the DRC feel the same. It truly is a "GREAT Nonprofit."
I cannot recommend Montgomery County DRC Services highly enough. They are a beacon of hope in our community, turning conflict into collaboration and fostering understanding where there was once discord. They approach each individual and situation with empathy, kindness and professionalism! Thank you for the incredible work you do!
As someone who regularly visits the organization, I must say that Elaine, the director, is exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Additionally, the team goes above and beyond to guarantee that the client receives courteous and professional customer service.

For anyone seeking to improve their ability to resolve conflicts amicably, confidently, and effectively, these training sessions are an absolute MUST. Highly recommended!
Having served as a volunteer Mediator for several years now, I’m particularly impressed with the caring and professional staff. I’ve volunteered at a great many community organizations over the years and have seldom come across a better run and better staffed organization. It’s truly a pleasure to be associated with them.

Going through a divorce is never easy but with the DRC-MC there was such a calming atmosphere. We did one mediation online and one in person to full resolve everything. The online went smoothly with the great tech help of Mikayla and the wonderful mediator Cathy. The in-person also ran so smoothly with the mediator David. I highly recommend this place.
I called and spoke to the most wonderful calming voice today and I feel I need to recommend her! Crystal was wonderful when it came to scheduling my mediation and was so reassuring I can't thank her enough for being the person on the other end of the phone! She was definitely the highlight to my very low day and I feel she needs to know how grateful I am to her patience with answering all of my questions and handling me with upmost care! Five star service for sure!
As a volunteer mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County since 2011 and a board member for two terms I am pleased to share my great admiration for this organization. Our mission to provide and promote affordable, high-quality dispute resolution services and training in our county is carried out with great heart and hard work. Volunteers and staff alike care deeply about serving the individuals, families, and businesses who come to us. It has been a pleasure to be part of such an excellent nonprofit!

My experience as a mediator with the DRC-MC has been positive over the last seven years. The shared goal of providing affordable, high-quality dispute resolution services, along with continuing mediator training, has built a strong organization. I have been honored to work with talented, compassionate mediators who bring their unique styles to the table. A strong administrative staff and caring board provide constant support and guidance. Deciding disputes in court may be more expensive and adversarial than necessary. Alternatively, I recommend using mediation at the DRC.
The DRC of Montgomery County is a wonderful place where issues are resolved. The DRC allows individuals and litigants to craft their own solutions to complex problems. In a world that at times seems to be full pf problems, the DRC offers solutions.
Your company radiates kind, caring, compassionate people. Coupled with inspiring insights and integrity. May you all continue to grow and thrive together for the good of all mankind.
The mediator was very professional and allowed the parties to express their concerns. I did not think this case would be settled and I was amazed that he was able to bring the parties to meet in the middle and get the case settled.
This organization provides so much to the community when it comes to helping resolve high levels of conflict. My relative works for the organization and she is constantly raving about the great service that the volunteers provide in mediation. I will definitely recommend the DRC to any friend or co-worker that needs assistance with any type of dispute.
My experience with Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County has been wonderful. With the help from Kimberly Barahona and interns, the Juvenile Probation Department has seen an overall improvement in our involved juveniles. They have educated our juveniles on how to resolve conflicts and gave these juveniles tools to cope with their anger management. The interaction between our juvenile and parents has progressed in a positive manner and we have heard nothing but good reviews at the end of our sessions. We are beyond grateful to the Dispute Resolution staff members in helping our future generation.
This Non-Profit does an excellent job for the community. Working diligently the office staff and mediators do everything they can to make the mediation process smooth and agreeable for the parties. They are so friendly and helpful. I feel at home and working with a group of people who genuinely care about others and seeing them succeed. They provide a much needed service to the community. Where I grew up, in Oklahoma there were no services like this. In fact until recently I had never heard of such a place. It is wonderful to see parties come in or appear on Zoom and they are frustrated and anxious but by the end of the mediation they are hopeful and pleased with their outcome.
This organization is a wonderful asset to Montgomery County, TX and beyond. Great volunteers and staff!
Volunteers are definitely the heart of this organization and they have the BEST of the BEST!
I highly recommend the DRC for mediation services and for educational training.
As an ExxonMobil Foundation CSJP Intern with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc., from the time I stepped foot into the building, the staff embraced me with kindness and warmth. The DRC-MC provides a homey safe space not only for the mediators and clients, but for anyone who stops by. Warm freshly baked cookies, water, and coffee are provided for mediation sessions to comfort and welcome the parties. I can see that the staff truly cares for each of the parties coming to mediation and their mediators. They will not let money be an issue that prevents families/parties from getting the mediation they need. They know all the mediators by their name and treats them like a true family. The DRC-MC also provides more support outside of their building such as their surrounding community. Camps for younger kids have been created to teach them at a young age ways to resolve their conflict peacefully and weekly classes for the juvenile probation center to help kids in trouble.
Very kind and effective volunteer mediators. Saved us a ton of drama and going to court. I am very appreciative!
I am an attorney in Montgomery County and have used the DRC multiple times to resolve disputes for parties who have limited resources. The hard work of the mediators at the DRC helps the parties avoid costly litigation and helps them to put their disputes to rest so that they can begin the healing process. I highly recommend their services!!
I've been a volunteer mediator here since 2018. I really enjoy helping people discuss and resolve their disputes since they know their situation the best, and they can usually come up with acceptable outcomes without the stress and cost of using the courts. The support, training and guidance from the DRC is outstanding! And, in my experience the DRC-MC is the very best at recognizing and appreciating their community of volunteers.
I served as a volunteer mediator at the DRC. In addition, I served as Board Chair and am currently a member of the Advisory Committee. I have seen peoples lives change as a result of their contact with the DRC; it’s volunteers and staff. The work of its mediators has touched many lives and assisted those individuals through some of the most trying events in which they find themselves.

The Montgomery County DRC goes above and beyond in term of providing mediation services to its clients. Not only are services provided in a comfortable, relaxed environment, but volunteers provide services in remote courts such as Justice of the Peace courtrooms and in courtroom mediations for district courts. This places less stress on the client and simplifies the otherwise complicated judicial process.
In addition, volunteer mediators are most professional and well trained.
I have been a volunteer for over ten years and a Board Member for almost two terms now. I love working with the DRC and helping people come to agreements without having to let the court decide.
The DRC provides excellent services to the community under the expert guidance of the director Elaine Roberts.
I would, and do, recommend the DRC to anyone wishing to settle issues without going to court.

I have been mediating at the DRC since 2011 and am now a Board member. Since Elaine Roberts became the director we have gone from good to great. Our training is second to none. I just love being able to help people settle their differences out of court. If you ever need meditation we offer skilled meditation at an affordable price.
Montgomery County is lucky to have such a wonderful mediation program that serves the community and helps resolve disputes without the high cost of litigation. The Director, Elaine, and mediators provide quality service and provide a "win-win" opportunity to resolve disputes before you end up spending time and money in litigation.
The DRC of Montgomery County provides wonderful services to the public at low or no cost. Mediation is so important when a dispute is disrupting the lives of those involved. Additionally, they provide outreach, education, and training to the general public.

I signed up to volunteer as a mediator at the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County (MCDRC) in the last quarter of 2021. My objective was to gain experience in the field of conflict resolution while simultaneously serving the community.
My experience with the professionalism of the MCDRC team has been exceptionally positive. It gives me comfort to know that all volunteer references are checked, and they are interviewed before selecting them to be a part of the team that offers much needed assistance to the community. The team is extremely supportive, kind and appreciative of volunteers. Policies and processes are in place to underwrite the success of volunteers and ensure that quality is not compromised while serving the community.
The DRC staff practice inclusion and truly care about the people they serve.
MCDRC far exceeded my expectations and I hope to continue serving the community through this exceptional nonprofit organization.
I have been a volunteer mediator with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County for the past 6 months and have found them very responsive to their clients and mediators. They have provided very informative seminars on working with the Zoom and DocuSign applications and always are there for back-up on technical issues before, during or after a mediation. They do not press us as mediators when we are running late on time. It is a pleasure to work with them and I am sure their clients feel the same way.

I have had the pleasure volunteering with the Montgomery County DRC for about a year. I was a mediator in Dallas and moved to this area a few years ago. I volunteered awhile back, then had to return to work. When I decided to return to the field, Miss Roberts actually remembered me! She gave me an opportunity to mediate, although I do have a full-time job. Ms. Roberts and the DRC staff are extremely nice, friendly, and flexible given my schedule. They are active and respected in the community. I love volunteering whenever I get a chance. Honestly, I am quite honored to serve and be a part of the MCDRC family!

It has been my honor to volunteer for and collaborate with Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County (DRC-MC) for the past several years. The DRC-MC is a wonderful leader in promoting peaceful alternatives for the businesses and community of Montgomery County. They provide direct mediation services as well as a host of community trainings and informational events. The DRC-MC has established itself as an outstanding and frequent partner for other community services and outreach. Elaine Roberts, Executive Director, has provided wonderful leadership for the DRC-MC staff and volunteers. With the widespread challenges of the last two years, the DRC-MC has worked creatively to provide mediation services and advance peace initiatives. They continue to provide superior services to the Montgomery County community and beyond. Ms. Roberts works tirelessly and has successfully extended the outreach of the DRC-MC to create a new program to meet the needs of at-risk youth as well as recognizing champions of peace initiatives with the Peacebuilding Community Awards in collaboration with the Association for Conflict Resolution Peer Mediation Team.
The DRC-MC continues to demonstrate their reputation for excellence, initiative, and dedication. I heartily recommend the DRC-MC as an outstanding non-profit that works diligently to enhance its community by increasing opportunities to create thoughtful dialogue and foster peaceful conflict resolution.

I have served on the advisory board. I have also volunteered for the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County (DRC-MC) for the past few years. Their annual Conflict Resolution Bookmark Art Contest has a phenomenal participation from students in Montgomery County; with remarkable growth every year. The event is well-organized; generates thoughtful participation by the next generation of peacemakers, Commissioner’s Court award ceremony is attended by students, their families, and school staff as well as community leaders; provides recognition for outstanding bookmark creations that promote peace; and awards students and schools with peace-themed resources. In years past, the thousand plus bookmarks have been professionally reproduced, showcased as a mural or displayed prominently in the community to further recognize the talents of the students and promote peace within the community.
The DRC-MC has established a reputation for excellence, initiative and dedication. I heartily recommend the DRC-MC as an outstanding non-profit that works diligently to enhance its community by increasing opportunities to create thoughtful dialogue and foster peaceful conflict resolution.
I have volunteered for the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery, Inc. and I have also received their mediator training and every experience has been wonderful! The events are unique, always so well planned out and beautifully executed that I look forward to them each year. I share this sentiment with other volunteers and that fact alone speaks volumes for the kind of organization this is when people look forward to giving of their time because it's such a respected organization with such worthwhile programs!
I received my training from the DRCMC during the pandemic, at a time when all training has been taking on very different forms from the pre-pandemic norm of in-person trainings, but Elaine Roberts, Savannah Martin and the rest of their team of workers and volunteers did an amazing job seamlessly transforming into an online platform to continue the work. I never would have known this was new to them had they not said so. They realized postponing training and cutting services were not options, so they got to work figuring it out, working with what they had to do as much as they could. That part is not a new concept for them though; that's why they remain so successful and such an integral part of our community.
The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County has provided invaluable support services to the diverse communities of the county. They have successfully developed a respected pool of bilingual/bicultural mediators who are able to serve the growing local Spanish speaking population. The addition of the center's new outreach staff guides diverse communities in the area. This position provides needed support to communities that have traditionally not received information on the many benefits of mediation resources. These efforts could have a tremendous impact on the progress of local families and the relationships needed between community institutions and diverse communities. Through the Covid 19 pandemic DRCMC has become a leader in adapting to the difficult challenges in providing continuity of services for families. They successfully incorporated virtual mediation services, and avenues to access these services, in order to maintain high quality mediation programs in training and court mediations. It has been an honor to work with DRCMC and their many dedicated volunteers. The center's flexibility, high standards of leadership, and professionalism through unprecedented times for communities has been inspirational as many organizations have struggled to create avenues of service in crisis.

I've served on the DRC-MC advisory board, and have been on the Board of Directors since 2017. As the President of the Texas Familias Council, I work to connect resources for underserved populations with a focus on our local Latino communities. The DRC-MC has provided our community consortium members with a wonderful workshop training on conflict resolution for community resource professionals. This training was unique as it taught invaluable skills needed for providers to work across diverse cultures. As a board member I'm aware that the organization is keenly focused on it's mission, on the accountability of resources, and on nurturing a caring organizational culture. The Executive Director, Elaine Roberts, and leadership have made great strides in connecting with underserved communities, including the recruitment of more bilingual mediators to serve growing populations that too often don't realize these resources are available. Through annual art projects for all county school districts, the DRC-MC engages youth and families in the concept and value of dispute resolution. I've also recently completed the DRC-MC General Mediation training to assist with more bilingual mediations. The training was comprehensive, and provided us with an expansive overview of the process and importance of mediation for communities. For bilingual students, the training included unique elements specifically for mediators serving diverse populations. Seasoned DRC mediators mentored the students during the training with caring and insightful guidance that enriched the excellent teaching of the training's expert instructor. Through collaborative efforts, the DRC-MC is a premier community resource organization recognized by law enforcement, justice systems, governing and resource organizations, and the private sector. It is a true asset, and a leader in creating a culture of connection and bridge- building that is essential for healthy communities today. I'm proud to serve this organization, and so grateful for its innovative efforts and mission. Thank you!
Volunteering at the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County has been one of the greatest services that I've ever experienced. Elaine Roberts and the staff are very professional and accommodating to the clients and volunteers. It is such a pleasure seeing such a "well oiled machine". When shutdowns happened due to the pandemic, online mediations immediately began and trainings continued, both remaining at the high standards of mediation services. Because of the greatness of this organization, mediating has become a great passion for me. Grateful to volunteer with such a great organization.
As a volunteer with this agency for a several years, I have found them to be kind, ethical, discreet, and thoughtful of all parties: clients, attorneys, and the mediators. The DRC has been proactive and innovative in dealing with the challenges brought on by COVID.
Mediators help the parties bring their issues out for discussion and clarification, then negotiate to a workable and enforceable resolution, and document it into signed contract form. That signed contract may need to be filed with the court, which the clients do need to arrange themselves. This is all happening in an in person or online Zoom meeting, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect by the mediators.
In response to COVID, the Executive Director established technology and processes that allowed mediations to continue online. Other DRC's (we are all independent of each other) had to close down, or go on hiatus. We kept chugging right along, helping people resolve their conflicts.
This work is so meaningful to me. I know we have enabled individuals, businesses, and families at all income levels to solutions that can work for them, and to be able to put the conflicts behind them.
I have had the absolute pleasure of serving as a volunteer at the Montgomery County Dispute Resolution Center in Conroe for many years. This group and organization started out small with limited resources, yet they were able to recruit volunteer mediators as well as community involvement in a very short period of time.
Elaine and her entire staff are absolutely amazing! They ensure that the volunteers have all of the resources we need to ensure we are serving our community. This group goes above and beyond to ensure that volunteers always feel appreciated. I believe I receive much more than I give for my service and this is due to the efforts of Elaine and her team.
I have volunteered with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County for the past 6 years; first as a judge in the Conflict Resolution Day Bookmark Art Contest, and then as a member of the Advisory Committee. It is very clear how successful the Center is as there are only 3 paid staff, but over 50 volunteers! How many non-profits have this many volunteers willing to go through a 64 hour class before they can even begin to help someone? Not many. This is a direct result of their Executive Director, Elaine Roberts, who is passionate about helping others work through their conflicts, is committed to our community, and is clearly making a difference in the lives of so many. I am so proud to be associated with this agency and I highly recommend them.
I have been volunteering for the DRC for over 5 years, which that in itself is a testament to what a wonderful experience it has been. The staff is outstanding and ensures that volunteers have all the support they need in order to perform their responsibilities as mediators to the best of their ability. It is a very welcoming environment for volunteers and clients alike. Volunteers feel appreciated, and I myself look forward to many more years of volunteerism with this great organization. They provide a great service to the community.
I interned with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc., for the summer of 2021 and I only have good words for the organization! The work environment is so nice here! The staff were so welcoming, kind and helpful, they went out of their way to teach me all there is to know. The executive director, Ms. Roberts, went out of her way time and time again to answer all my questions, to share important and useful information and opportunities with me, and to tailor my experience perfectly for me. Ms. Roberts knows so much about this work, every time there was a situation during the mediations which the mediator(s) and I didn't know how to address, she always knew what to do and guided us accordingly. With her as an executive director I believe that everything is possible in the DRC. The volunteer mediators are also wonderful! They are so skilled at mediation, they have so much knowledge and they are also kind and caring. They love this work, and it shows! All of the mediators I spoke with and got to know told me that they mediate because it's their passion, or their mission. Some of them have been mediating for many years and I would like to say that they are among the best at this work. They know and have practiced many techniques for making sure that the mediation goes smoothly. They were also so willing to help me, many of them set time aside to have a one-on-one conversation to me and to answer my many questions. I am forever grateful to the staff and to the volunteers who went out of their way to mentor me. This was my dream internship, and the best internship I think I could have ever come across. If you book a mediation with the DRC, you are definitely in good hands!
I continue as a volunteer mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County because of the quality of the leadership and support I receive. The organization functions seamlessly providing training and guidance for new mediators as well as those as myself with over seventeen years of mediation experience. There exists a sense of comradery between the staff as well as the mediators themselves allowing opportunities for the exchange of information and a less stressful environment.
I also volunteer for another DRC as well as fee-based mediation for the Texas Department of Insurance but never hesitate to avail myself of the opportunity to mediate a case for the Montgomery DRC.

I have been a mediator with this dispute resolution center for many years and consider it to be one of the best in terms of the quality of the mediators skill set, attitude and willingness to work with the parties. The director and staff at the Montgomery DRC are dedicated and supportive to the efforts of mediation.
The Montgomery County DRC CPS training was simply great and a rich learning experience from highly experienced CPS mediators. The training included presentations from CPS attorneys, CASA supervisors and District and County judges. Great emphasis was placed during the entire training program on the fact that uppermost is the protection of children. One of the CPS mediation speakers was Charlsie Moore who shared with the training attendees her rich experience covering more than 18 years as a CPS mediator. As an attendee for the CPS mediation training. I was given access to the large volume of training materials that will prove to be invaluable as I engage in CPS mediations. I am grateful that I received the Montgomery County DRC training as it is clearly the best program that Texas (and probably America) has to offer for CPS mediation training.
Because of COVID-19 I received CPS Mediation training with Montgomery County DRC via video conferencing. The staff, under DRC Director Elaine Roberts, provided a flawless training program that involved coordination of many speakers from the CPS community. The training began with a short history of Child Protection in America which provided a strong reminder that the primary function of CPS is the protection of children. Speakers included Charlsie Moore who has an incredible and impressive history of CPS mediations over more than 18 years with Montgomery County DRC. Speakers during the entire training program included CPS attorneys, workers and supervisors, CASA volunteers and supervisors and judges from the 410th and 418th County and District Courts. Training attendees were able to download all of the training materials which are literally a treasure trove of CPS guidance that will be of incredible assistance to those of us who will be working in the CPS mediation field.
Mention must also be made of Amber Gong, MCDRC Volunteer Coordinator, who guided all the trainees through the process of transitioning from the originally planned onsite mediation training to the video conferencing mediation training. All in all, the entire CPS mediation training was an incredible example of the professionalism and dedication of the entire MCDRC organization.
A professionally run DRC. I know the Executive Director and many of their volunteer mediators. I think very highly of this group of mediators - they are top notch and they volunteer at this outstanding DRC. I highly recommend them.
I have been a judge in their annual bookmark contest for children in the area. It is a wonderful and inspiring event each year.
The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County Inc performs extremely valuable work to our community. Their volunteers are expert mediators who exhibit both skill and professionalism in all their interactions. Their mediators are highly trained and experienced. I recently had a case go to mediation with them that I thought had no hope of resolution. Within several hours we had a resolution agreeable to all parties and most importantly the safety of the children was preserved. I cannot recommend them enough.
At CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, we work regularly with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County. We depend on them to help move cases along to satisfactory resolutions without having to go to trial. The volunteers and staff of the DRC are always professional, helpful, and innovative in the work they do. In addition, they do very practical training for us and other organizations in the community. I highly recommend them for dispute resolution, and for training in all areas of conflict resolution!
As an attorney I am glad the Montgomery County DRC exist. Every mediator is well prepared and run mediation with professionalism and expertise. I have had great results. I highly recommend attorneys to use the DRC, especially for clients with low financial funds. The DRC is also great. They are very helpful and have a very well organized system. I will continue to recommend and use the DRC as they get the Job done!
I am a volunteer for the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County. I wholeheartedly endorse this organization for many reasons. First, they go above and beyond to serve the residents of the county through their mediation services. The parties that mediate are able to save time , money, and stress by avoiding litigation in the court system. Also, the court system itself benefits by having fewer cases that must go to trial. Next, the DRC is committed to its volunteer corp . They offer frequent training sessions so we can stay on top of the field of mediation and they have volunteer appreciation events as well. Finally, the DRC promotes peace in the community by sponsoring a "Bookmark for Peace" competition each year and this year sponsored a Peer Mediation training for high school interns.
I have been a volunteer mediator and member of their board for a number of years and have thoroughly enjoyed playing a part in helping people deal with difficult communication issues in constructive ways.
The management and staff are not there just for a job. They are caring, competent, hard working people who truly make a tremedous difference in the lives of many. This non profit is at the top of my list! The better you know them the more you appreciate them.
I am a board member and a volunteer for the DRC-MC. I've worked with a number of nonprofits in my career, and DRC-MC is one of the best. Leadership cares about the organization's mission, making sure that the citizens of Montgomery County have access to the peaceful resolution of disputes, even during pandemic times. The DRC-MC offers high-quality training to its volunteers to help ensure continuous skill improvement. DRC-MC is a leader in the dispute resolution field, providing carefully thought-out processes to deliver mediations by remote and online facilities. I am proud to be a board member and volunteer mediator for this wonderful organization.
There is a sign on the Montgomery County DRC office door that says ‘Helping people with difficult conversations since 1988’ and that sign is much more than just words. Among other things, it reflects a compassion that is genuine and readily apparent in the exceptional staff and the highly skilled mediators who volunteer at the DRC. It is truly an honor to be a volunteer mediator at the DRC.
The DRC-MC is a wonderful organization in Montgomery County. Each year, my organization runs a student internship program for rising High School Seniors and the DRC-MC is always eager to host students for two weeks to give them an inside look into the work that they do for our community. To make sure that our students have a great opportunity they always go above and beyond and introduce our students to different lawyers, judges and court officials. This year due to COVID-19 we had to move our entire internship program online and the DRC-MC joined in and provided an online Our Peacebuilding Community Peer Mediation training for 20 of our students. The training was extremely beneficial for our students and we are so blessed to have community partners like the DRC-MC!
I recommend this nonprofit, the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County. This nonprofit provides a valuable tool to support the legal system. With dispute, this nonprofit provides a safe and controlled environment with trained Mediators to facilitate the mediation process. Recognizing the importance of conflict resolution, this nonprofit provides the opportunity for those in dispute to discover an agreement in order to move forward. This office is professional, organized, experienced and seeks the best outcome for all participants. I highly recommend this nonprofit, The DRC - Montgomery County.
As a high school Student Director for a closely aligned non-profit, I have greatly appreciated the help from the DRC-MC. The DRC's work has been very useful to the community in preserving relationships and lowering costs for the court. I also had the opportunity to intern at the Center while receiving my mediation certificate. It is an experience I will never forget and a skill that I will use to resolve future conflicts. I am grateful for the center and its awesome staff as I enter the workforce.
I have been a volunteer mediator at the Montgomery County Dispute Resolution Center for over 13 years. During that time I have found it rewarding to help people avoid the expense of a court trial and at the same time craft an agreement that they can live with and move forward.
DRC-Montgomery County provides me with an opportunity to assist my community in the resolution of various disputes before and after a lawsuit has been filed.
DRC-MC works exceptionally hard to be there for the community. Between the affordable mediation services and the annual bookmark art contest they promote peaceful resolutions for tough situations. I have had the opportunity to observe multiple mediations and will also be taking part in the upcoming training offered through DRC-MC. Highly recommend!
I am currently interning at the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County for the summer of 2019. The staff and volunteers have been incredibly welcoming and professional from day one. In my opinion, attending mediation at the DRC-MC is the most efficient way to settle a dispute peacefully . I highly recommend this organization and its mission to serve the community!
I recently completed the initial phase of a contract with the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC); the contract is to teach a basic mediation course for the DRC's volunteer trainees and others who wish to learn basic mediation skills. I enjoyed the experience and found the DRC to be completely honorable in holding up its end of our contract. The DRC has a small staff, but everyone there is competent and cooperative. I was also impressed when I learned that the DRC mediates over 1,000 cases per year, a very high number for a DRC of relatively small size. Overall, the DRC is a very impressive organization.
The Woodlands Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was elated to share in an impactful day for our children and adults. We gained valuable insight to help us learn at our various ages how to resolve conflict peacefully and with an understanding of how to listen. The day that we had was one that will last a lifetime. The team went above and beyond to ensure that our children were engaged and that it was a relevant lesson.
The DRC of Montgomery County is an invaluable resource to the community, offering high quality, low cost dispute resolution services. Each case is handled with professionalism and care by a dedicated group of trained volunteers. Clients are always impressed with the quality and results of services rendered. I would highly recommend this organization to anyone in need of third party assistance in resolving a dispute.
The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County goes above and beyond to serve the community. Not only do they exist in their offices and mediate cases, they outreach and conduct mediations in local courthouses. The Director, Elaine, is always thinking of new and exciting opportunities for the community to resolve issues with or without litigation. She has been a joy to work with and has transformed this center to be a well-known part of the community. We enjoy our yearly involvement in the community bookmark contest with local schools that engage children in the need for safety.
I cannot say enough about the outstanding work and training that the Dispute Mediation Center of Montgomery County Offers. I received my mediation training in 2014 from the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County the experience was interesting and informative regarding the different approaches to problem solving techniques. I honestly used this training in both my personal and professional life. The Dispute Resolution Center was kind enough to volunteer to host a mediation training session for my children's activity group to show how the mediation technique works for all ages in all situations. The children enjoyed participating in a mediation between Goldie Locks and the three Bears.
The volunteer mediators actually acted out the skit and gave the children an opportunity to mediate this dispute. The mediators also demonstrated how mediation could be used as a tool to combat bullying and dispute with friends in school. I have also found that with the assistance of the Dispute Resolution Center trained mediators all but two of the cases I submitted for mediation were successfully resolved with the parties reaching an agreement.
I am a volunteer mediator. This organization provides a valuable service to the community and a gratifying experience for volunteers. The staff is very helpful and professional.
ive been mediating with the Montgomery Co. DRC for 18 years and have seen so many
great things happen during this time. The DRC has made so many positive changes and has done so much for the citizens of Montgomery County plus saved the county thousands and thousands of dollars and the judges hours and hours of time.
great nonprofit, serves the community to resolve issues in a supportive and positive environment. the staff is very supportive and efficient.
The center provides a secure and supportive environment during it's mediation sessions that allows each party the opportunity to explain their view of the issues and what they are looking for to resolve the dispute. The mediators facilitate the ongoing discussions and apply techniques such as summarizing what points each party has expressed to encourage parties to remain engaged in the process and reach an agreement. I find this approach to
dispute resolution to be very effective.
In 2002 I was a client well served by the DRC . In 2006 I became a voluteer mediator and have continued in that role for nearly 12 years. I have found my fellow mediators and support administrators in the DRC to be a group of caring, sensitive, and thoughtful people who are a credit to their community.
I am currently interning here at the DRC-MC, and I am extremely impressed by the professionalism shown by all of the volunteers and the staff. Everyone here is welcoming, courteous, and well-trained to handle conflict resolution. This organization provides the opportunity to settle disputes peacefully and respectfully, which empowers people to create lasting solutions for themselves.
We're well trained in mediation techniques and well regarded by the judiciary and by our clients. We provide a valuable service to the community and are treated with the utmost respect and appreciation. It's a good feeling to be doing something worthwhile and with professional colleagues. JayCin
I have been associated with this DRC for almost 10 years. It has provided an excellent opportunity to dedicate my time in retirement to a cause close to my heart, i.e., resolving conflict without going to court. As a non-attorney, I felt I could relate to the needs and concerns of parties who feel intimidated by legal actions and the courts. This DRC provides flexible scheduling to its volunteers and in-house continuous education opportunities. Continuous feedback is provided by staff and co-mediators that adds to our skills and knowledge base. Staff are courteous and friendly, adding to the environment of being a pleasant place to volunteer my time.
I have been associated with the Dispute Resolution Center for over 16 years. It has provided excellent, low cost mediations with fully trained, quality mediators capable of handling all types of mediations. This facility is highly recommended

We sincerely appreciate your kind words and dedication to the DRC-MC! We would not be able to do it without you and our other amazing mediators. Thank you so much for all your help! Sincerely, DRC-MC Staff
DRC of Montgomery County provides a public service by resolving disputes for the community in a respectful manner to all parties involved. As a volunteer, I am honored to work with other amazing volunteers, DRC staff, attorneys, and clients. DRC also helps reduce overwhelmed court dockets so that other cases can be given a fair and efficient process as well.

We could not do it without our wonderful mediators! We are so grateful for their time, effort and genuine desire to help our community. Thank you for all that you do! Sincerely, DRC-MC Staff
I have volunteered at DRC for 5 years and find it to be a rewarding way to invest my volunteer efforts. As a volunteer mediator you help those in a dispute to express their concerns and often reach an agreed settlement as opposed to a judge making a rather arbitrary decision. You receive training and by design have a partner who serves as a co-mediator.

The DRC-MC helps thousands of people each year, and we would not be able to accomplish this if it weren't for the many amazing mediator volunteers. Each one is incredibly gifted and we cannot thank you and the other mediators enough for all that you all do. Sincerely, DRC-MC Staff
