Review for Rx Outreach, Maryland Heights, MO, USA
My husband has some serious health issues and requires several prescriptions just to live. He recently signed up with this program. We have very little money so this looked like a very good thing.
For our first order we paid around $400.00 and were told he'd receive his medicine in 7-10 days; the girl I spoke to also said we'd get our receipt within a few days. However, we never got any receipt or a tracking number for his medicine.
Called back close to a week after we paid for the medicine, only to be told that the medicine he desperately needs hasn't even shipped yet due to some kind of shortage, and that we should expect it 7-10 days after it ships. Rx Outreach had made no attempt to contact us by phone, email or regular mail to let us know there would be a delay. The Customer Service supervisor also stated that the receipt would be shipped in the package with the medicine.
My spouse needs his medicine when he needs it, not when it's convenient for this outfit to get around to filling the order after taking what little money we have. I asked for the Customer Service manager; she stated that this is just the way they do things. Upon further discussion she told me if I had an account I could see the order status & tracking number for our order. I thought that placing an order would probably begin an account but was not sure. I asked her to check; we have no account. In order to do things correctly I asked her to email me the link to set up the account, and she assured me she would. Hours later - still no email.
I called back, only to be informed she was unavailable. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and was told the Vice President would call us back by COB. No one returned our call. So - they've got our money, we have neither the receipt nor the medicine we paid for & my spouse desperately needs and Rx Outreach has lied to us.
There does not seem to be any accountability at this alleged non-profit, nor even any responsible adult working there-there's always background chit-chat but no one appears to be actually working. i see from reviews on Glassdoor & Indeed that their own employees refer to the management of Rx Outreach as "disorganized" "unprofessional" and "immature" - I could not agree more. We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and probably a couple of other places.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Fire management, replace them with real workers, have the new management train all employees how to work, be professional on the job - and replace anyone not willing to do so. Too many good people out of work & looking to keep types like this on the payroll. The current bunch clearly do not value their jobs, so they must not need them. Meanwhile many bonafide workers have lost employment due to the pandemic. Solution seems simple enough to me.
