With the price of all my other expenses going up each month, I have been stressed about being able to afford the cost of my medications. I recently found Rx Outreach and I am so glad I did. I'll be saving a ton of money each year, and the process to sign up was so simple. The customer service team was friendly and made everything easy to understand. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex a Customer Service Representatives today. I was so pleased with the excellent service she provided. She was able to put my mind at ease and answering many of the questions that I had. I would highly recommend RX Outreach due to the Great service that I received from Alex and their prompt service of processing your prescription.

THEY PRINT SHIPPING LABELS TO TRICK CUSTOMERS INTO THINKING THEIR MEDS HAVE BEEN SHIPPED!

I've had a disappointing experience with this service, and I want to share my thoughts to help others avoid similar frustrations. I've been using this service for seven months now, and unfortunately, the issues I've encountered have only worsened over time.

Initially, I attributed the problems to growing pains, hoping they would improve. However, they have persisted and become increasingly troublesome.

For the first three months, they consistently sent one prescription but not the other, I was met with confusion and misinformation when I contacted them for assistance. Their customer service was also a source of frustration. Waiting on hold for an hour only to receive assistance from someone who didn't seem to know what they were doing became a recurring issue. Sometimes, I'd discover days later that my prescription still hadn't been shipped.

Thankfully, I eventually connected with the capable and helpful Operations Manager, Erika. For a few months, she personally managed my account, and things went smoothly. However, it's become apparent that Erika is likely overloaded, as she no longer responds to my calls or emails.

Their only way to verify if my prescription has been sent is when they send me a text with a tracking number. Every month, I'm required to reauthorize them to charge my credit card and send them a reminder email to fill my prescription. Sadly, more often than not, the fulfillment date comes and goes without any notification that my prescription has been filled, forcing me to contact them once again.

Despite my efforts to reach out to someone other than Erika, I've received no response. It's worth noting that when I do manage to contact Erika, I receive a text message with a tracking number promptly. Unfortunately, the tracking number frequently doesn't work, leaving me in the dark about the whereabouts of my medication.

What's particularly frustrating is that the shipping label is often created 3-4 days before the package actually leaves the facility. Lately, I've noticed they generate shipping labels the day before they fill the prescription. This appears to be a deceptive tactic to give the impression that the prescription is ready, rather than being honest about the delay.

My current situation is that today is Tuesday. I have tried to contact Erika and Edwin(Call Center Supervisor) by phone and email: Last Thursday, Saturday, and Monday with no response. I did reach customer service today and was forced to pay $55 to overnight my prescription. This could have been avoided by the least amount of customer service. This company was bad and is getting worse. Their customer and employee reviews are consistent with that.

My experience with this service has been marked by confusion, inconsistency, and a lack of transparency. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering their services.

RxOutreach has been a tremendous help to me for my most expensive medication. I take other medications, but can afford those on my fixed income. This drug was reasonable when I first started taking it, but over time another company has rebranded it and is charging megabucks for the drug. I have other medications I take as well, luckily I can afford those on a fixed income. Without RxOutreach, I can't imagine how I would pay for this medication.

Horrible ! Horrible ! Warning: Zero communications from RXoutreach between the time that my doctor sent in my prescription up until a month later, when I still haven't rec'd anything. I never knew what was happening. Then it was a hassle trying to get a replacement script (to use elsewhere) as the med is a controlled substance. This company shouldn't be in business; Their lack of business acumen is dangerous to patients. It will take me quite a while to get back on track. RXoutreach set me back on my journey to be healthful & functional. Thanks a lot RXoutreach !!

RX Outreach is a great alternative for expensive medications, particularly if you don't have insurance. The only thing is that the mailing time varies and it can be a little tricky when you need to refill a prescription for a controlled substance medication. They meet the expectations for a mail service, but keep in mind they are a non-profit, so they run a lean operation. Therefore, controlled medications are processed twice a week, so you really need to time the transaction. You need to plan ahead and coordinate well with your doctor, to make sure you get your prescription in time. Also, is not a bad idea to give them a follow up call or check their website, next day after your doctor sends the prescription, to make sure they received it and everything is in order. This is not a paid or premium service, so you should always follow up on the status of your prescription on their website. Make sure to call them if the status of your prescription on their website provides a tracking number, but when you click on it, the USPS system says they haven't received the package yet. It usually takes them 1 or 2 days from the moment they issue the mailing label and tracking number, to the actual sending of the package. I have not order any non-controlled substance medication, so I don't know how fast or easy is their service for other type of prescriptions. Their customer service is very good, but they are always busy, so usually is better to use their "call back" service option, provided while on hold for a representative.

I have been taking a brand name medication for my arthritis for years,
which my insurance helped with.
Then, I was notified that generic was the only option available.
After 3 months on the generic medication, I had a major flare up.
I was in so much pain that I was unable to barely get out of bed.
The inflammation attacked my feet mostly. I was unable to walk.
I saw my rheumatologist and was started on steroids and back on the
brand name medication. It was obvious that the generic just did not help me at all
For many months I paid an outrageous amount for the brand name.
I had no idea how I was going to continue to afford it, but knew, what the
consequences were, without it.
My doctor had me speak with someone about help in paying for my medications, and I was told about Rx Outreach. Everyone was so helpful in getting me signed up, and the cost to me at that time was free. I honestly am so BLESSED by this wonderful organization!
I don't know what I would do without it!!
It is so hard to be disabled, and too sick to function. But then, to have to worry about not being able to afford that little pill that keeps me going, is so.... scary!!!
THANK YOU to all the amazing volunteers, and generous donations given to Rx Outreach.
You have Blessed so many. More then you can imagine!

After spending weeks trying to find a way to purchase a medication to treat my MS, I was beyond grateful to Rx Outreach for facilitating my access to a drug my neurologist prescribed. I had run out of ideas and options and was at a loss as to how to manage my condition. My doctor and her staff tried to help me but drugs in the U.S. are insanely overpriced and out of reach for many people. I used all my connections and only found out about Rx Outreach through an acquaintance. I will gladly tell friends and colleagues about your services so that they may also benefits from Rx Outreach.

Hello,

RX Outreach has been an absolute godsend to me and people like me.
The staff is always friendly, patient
and extremely courteous.

I especially love the fact that they are based in the United States, and I don't have to deal with third world country's substandard English at best.

I'm a disabled person on social security disability. Needless to say, disposable income is not in abundance. Sure, I have Medicare and Medicaid, but they don't cover all medications, like generic Viagra for example.

Generic Viagra sells for $45 on average, for a single 100 mg pill, no matter how many you buy at the Big chain pharmacies! Yes, $45 a pill!

RX Outreach charges me a mere $22 for 30- 100 mg generic Viagra pills, that are just as effective as name brand Viagra, which I took for years before "legit" generic versions became available.

But I digress; this review is not about Viagra, is it?~lol (Sorry, I just love it so! :-)

If you have no medical insurance or the insurance you do have is subpar at best, then call the kind folks at RX Outreach.
They practically give away a long list of prescription medications; and in many cases they do.

As a disabled person, I have dealt with many assistance programs over the decades, but none come close to the efficiency, professionalism and genuine kindness personified by the kind people at RX Outreach.

Sincerely,
John Burlamachi

One of her medications is way too expensive for us to afford, so she was able to get them free directly from Pfizer. Then Pfizer cancelled their assistance program.

RX Outreach used be great. Now however, the wait time to get someone to answer the phone is at least an hour. Then meds take weeks to be received. There is always some excuse as to why. They don’t charge my elderly mother’s card when they say they will and that causes a huge amount of confusion. She is always having to get temp scripts from her doctor.

Brandi, On behalf of our staff, we apologize for the long wait time and difficulty with your mother's order. We take pride in providing exceptional service and have fallen short recently due to the major upgrade of our internal software. For our patient's protection, we did not migrate credit card information. This increased our call volume and required us to re-enter payment details. We now have the patient portal open and are adding more features to improve patient experience. Again, we are sorry for the recent difficulties, Brandi, and thank you for your care of your mother's health. Our staff wants to make that easier for you and we have fallen short.

I gave 2 stars only because they used to be good. I have used RX Outreach for years with great results. My prescriptions were filled quickly and at a decent cost. I usually received them within 3-4 days of placing the order. If I had to call them, my calls were answered quickly and professionally. I'm not sure what has happened, but I suspect they have gotten too big to operate efficiently. I currently am waiting nearly two weeks for medications to arrive. The online ordering has been down for who knows how long and when I call, the wait is roughly an hour to speak with someone. I waited a week for my prescriptions and decided to call them to check. Another hour wait to speak with someone to be told that someone forgot to hit "release" on my prescription and it was never sent. I had to call my doctor to have a temporary script sent to a local pharmacy which was the same price as RX Outreach. Now I am about to be out of my second medication and am waiting for the fourth time for an hour to speak with someone. When I tried to call yesterday, I waited so long I had to leave and asked to be called back. No one ever called back. This is unacceptable. If they can no longer fill prescriptions in a timely manner or offer customer service they should not be offering their services. Medications are necessary and Good RX is putting lives at risk if they cannot do what they claim they can do. Disappointing to have to write this, but I am utterly disgusted at this point.

We apology for the long wait time that you experienced and for the delay in your medication. As you may have seen on our website, our internal system is being upgraded which prevents patients from accessing the patient portal for refills. This has temporarily increased our call volume. We will have the system upgrade completed soon and appreciate your patience as we make the necessary improvements. You are also welcome to complete the form at https://questions.rxoutreach.org/customerQuestions/create and we'll call you. Again, we are deeply sorry for the recent poor service. Thanks again for your understanding as we undergo the major technological upgrades. Our aim is to only provide 5- star service.

I am on a medication that costs over $2000/mo because I have to take brand name so my insurance company refuses to cover it! Brand name is required because the med is for epilepsy and generic forms have different binders so they don't always work the same way and this is the only med found to STOP my grand mal seizures. My neurologist said I would die if I didn't stay on this brand name med. My brother told me about Rx Outreach and they saved my life! Sure, there are times when you get someone that is having a bad day but who doesn’t have one of those days? I think customers need to realize that these people are devoting there time to help others. They help a lot of people every day and we as customers need to ask ourselves “How would Jesus treat these people” before we judge them.

-We both love their mission and the bottlecap "Honoring God by Serving Others"
-Their prices are cheaper than what we pay with insurance (for some of our meds)
-As a caretaker, I like that the price on the website is the actual price and there are no hidden fees.

My husband has some serious health issues and requires several prescriptions just to live. He recently signed up with this program. We have very little money so this looked like a very good thing.

For our first order we paid around $400.00 and were told he'd receive his medicine in 7-10 days; the girl I spoke to also said we'd get our receipt within a few days. However, we never got any receipt or a tracking number for his medicine.

Called back close to a week after we paid for the medicine, only to be told that the medicine he desperately needs hasn't even shipped yet due to some kind of shortage, and that we should expect it 7-10 days after it ships. Rx Outreach had made no attempt to contact us by phone, email or regular mail to let us know there would be a delay. The Customer Service supervisor also stated that the receipt would be shipped in the package with the medicine.

My spouse needs his medicine when he needs it, not when it's convenient for this outfit to get around to filling the order after taking what little money we have. I asked for the Customer Service manager; she stated that this is just the way they do things. Upon further discussion she told me if I had an account I could see the order status & tracking number for our order. I thought that placing an order would probably begin an account but was not sure. I asked her to check; we have no account. In order to do things correctly I asked her to email me the link to set up the account, and she assured me she would. Hours later - still no email.

I called back, only to be informed she was unavailable. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and was told the Vice President would call us back by COB. No one returned our call. So - they've got our money, we have neither the receipt nor the medicine we paid for & my spouse desperately needs and Rx Outreach has lied to us.

There does not seem to be any accountability at this alleged non-profit, nor even any responsible adult working there-there's always background chit-chat but no one appears to be actually working. i see from reviews on Glassdoor & Indeed that their own employees refer to the management of Rx Outreach as "disorganized" "unprofessional" and "immature" - I could not agree more. We will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and probably a couple of other places.

Add in the Chinese Communist party Virus scare and you have long wait times on the phone. I recently started using the online service. If I have a complicated issue, ( I moved, dropped my phone, couldn't get my old number, couldn't get into my old email!!!) I left a long message and received a phone call the next day. We are still working out the wrinkles, but it hasn't kept me from getting my RX. My biggest problem is me, calling my neurologist to electronically send a new Prescription every 90 days. I am absolutely and utterly disgusted with this company!!!!! I echo the other reviews left on here. The CEO should be incredibly ashamed at how piss poor his company is being run.

I was directly referred to this company by Medicare. I take and require a brand name antidepressant. I cannot afford the nearly $500 price tag for it. Rx Outreach was quite literally my last hope. My doctor kindly faxed in a prescription for me this am. I called their customer service line at 2:30pm to request expedited delivery. I was on hold for over an hour!! I then used their “save your place in line and we will call you back” function. And, as I write this, 4 HOURS LATER - still NO phone call!!!!!!

This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

RX Outreach is designed to deliver the WORST customer service of any company I have ever seen. Customers spend hours waiting in a phone que without any success. Management is incompetent and obviously doesnt care. It takes WEEKS to get a simple question answered. They believe they are doing "good" with their mission yet they are horrible at fulfilling that mission. Yes, customers can save money on prescriptions, however, if customers work for minimum wage or more, it takes soooo long to get through to RX Outreach they are losing money in the end. If this was a for-profit company they would be out of business in a month!

I am enrolled in the program. I received my first medication order and need to speak with someone about it.
I have been trying to speak with a representative for 3 days now. I keep getting the recording and I'm put on hold. Yesterday I left my phone on speaker and after 2 hours with no response from anyone I hung up.
I'm am never transferred to speak with someone, I have left 3 voicemail messages and have contacted them online. The response to my online request was that they would get back to me in 5 - 7 business days.
This is all totally unacceptable. I need to speak with someone about my medications.
