My 25yr old cockatiel had passed, so a few years later I was looking to make a home for an older cockatiel. I found a 9yr old from a shelter who's elderly owner had passed, so this male cockatiel came to live with me for the next 9 yrs & I fell in love with this sweet boy instantly. Unfortunately, health issues forced me to sadly find a new home for my now 18yr old very special member of the family. I researched for help on-line and thankfully found the For The Love Of Birds organization, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I contacted this organization, during a global pandemic mind you, they have been absolutely wonderful, caring, kind, understanding and accommodating. Caryn worked with me to gather as much information about my cockatiel as possible, and then took him in herself in order to help with my heath concerns. Caryn has been an absolute angel, working with my cockatiel in order to find him a forever home, as well as providing me with updates and pictures along the way. Caryn worked tirelessly with my cockatiel to get to know him, and find the best match. Caryn was so excited to share with me that she has since found that perfect match, and my cockatiel was placed in his new forever home. For The Love Or Birds is a wonderful, hard working organization who truly cares about each and every bird and their owner(s). My extremely difficult decision to find a new home for my beloved 18yr old cockatiel was only made bearable due to the kindness and actions shown by the For The Love Of Birds organization. I would highly recommend this excellent and wonderful organization !
