Review for The Project On Government Oversight, Inc., Washington, DC, USA
I'm just a sometimes donor, unfortunately. For me government transparency, be it the FOIA or POGO, could be the only thing that keeps our government as honest as it is. (You read that anyway you like.) Thank you POGO.
Review for Heifer Project International, Inc., Little Rock, AR, USA
Heifer Foundation locates needy people in needy countries and teaches them how to raise animals AND share them with their neighbors, allowing them to earn enough to pay school fees for their kids and eat better and even, sometimes, afford medical attention. Did I forget something? And Betty's slide shows about the people who are involved in their homes makes the whole deal very real. Thank you Betty.

Review for International Folk Art Alliance, Santa Fe, NM, USA
The Folk Art Museum is a research facility as well as an exhibition space. It is notorious for introducing people not just to fields they didn't know but also to fields they never dreamed existed.....Unlike traditional academic art, Folk Art does not need to pass through a filter into the viewer's aesthetic nerve center....

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Years ago I created a slide show about human rights for Amnesty International using folk art examples mostly from this Institute. It was shown hundreds of times and we were told it was an enormous success.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
move it closer to my home.
