Review for Good Days, Frisco, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been living with HIV/AIDS for over 30 years also because of that I have been battling with depression. When first diagnosed I became a volunteer in the San Diego AIDS Project and I remember hearing horror stories of patients having to choose between eating or paying for their medications never once did I think I could find myself in that situation.
Recently I retired and I thought that I had planned for my retirement as best as I could knowing that I would be on a fixed income.
While at work my insurance paid for my HIV/AIDS medication and my co-pay was $ 50.00.
Now that I have retired and am on Medicare I found out that the medication that was saving my life was going to be $ 1,100.00. (Even though I was also paying for Part D)
According to my Medicare plan the HIV/AIDS medication was a tier 5 “specialty drug.”
To me was a death sentence.
I tried to find get assistance from the pharmaceutical companies, but they said it was not available to people on Medicare!
I tried to work with my doctor but all the medications he recommended were tier 5.
So just as I had heard in the past, I had become one of the horror stories and had to choose between medications or a decent living. I chose not to fill out my medication.
I was very depressed, but I kept on looking and I remembered a representative of one of the drug companies I had called told me about Good Days.
So, I went to their website and filled the application and obtained an immediate approval!
It has changed my outlook for the future.
I will be eternally grateful to Good Days for the assistance they have provided me with.
