I interned with Along The Way for my MSW program and let me just say, there are not enough words to describe this wonderful and impactful nonprofit organization. I wish there were more organizations like Along The Way; providing free in-home childcare for single mothers. Not only do they do whatever it is they can to provide for single mother families, they work with the community surrounding them as well. Along The Way strives to make our smaller communities stronger and they do this by working with individuals AND families, not just one or the other! This organization goes above and beyond to make sure these single mother families are employed, gain financial independence, have stability for themselves and their family, and access to resources that are helpful to the family, the parent, and/or the child(ren). If you or any single mother you know is looking for an organization to help with childcare while working off-hour jobs, training, or going to school, I can guarantee that Along The Way will help in every possible way they can!
