This is an amazing organization that gives caregivers (in my case a mom two two children with special needs) a beautiful and relaxing escape. It allows us to get the respite that I can almost guarantee most of us would never get without an organization like this. We can make new friends who have walked similar paths, relax, sleep, and fill our cups in a variety of ways. From the moment you enter Lawton Manor Inn you feel like you are home and with people who understand you. The beautiful thing is that you can make your respite weekend to tailor exactly what are needing to heal your soul and spirit. Whether that is hibernating in your gorgeous room all weekend and sleeping, being social and having adventures with other visitors or being one with nature and taking in all the sights the options are really endless. This organization really makes your respite all about you and is really a lifeline for caregivers who very often are doing nothing to care for themselves. I am so thankful for A Mother’s Rest and as always am looking forward to my next stay.
