In a war-torn forgotten town in northern Uganda, TWOPU is bringing jobs and hope to women. Many are single mothers supporting not only their birth children but other children who have lost parents. Things are dire there. Enter TWOPU which has taught women to make beautiful jewelry to sell. Next came microloans that enabled them to start a business. Now the pig project which allows them to sell piglets, keep some for their family & encourages them to give one away to teach them generosity. The founder has high standards for the women, standards that are covered by her deep love for each of them and their families. I can’t recommend this group highly enough as a Great Nonprofit.
