The Women of Pader Uganda is such a special organization helping and empowering women to provide for themselves and their families.
Beautiful handmade unique pieces made by even more beautiful and unique women with beautiful and unique stories.
The Women of Padar Uganda (TWOPU) is on a mission to empower women who were isolated, starving and homeless due to the devastation of the LRA.
When Holly first introduced me to TWOPU, she was training women to make paper beads. She would return with suitcases of the jewelry and worked tirelessly to attend as many trade shows and fairs as she could to get them sold. (I am also the recipient of many of these items!). As time went on, miracles began to happen. Through faith and trust, the women are learning that they can provide support for themselves, their children, and their families.
As the mission continues to grow, so do the programs. These women have the opportunity to think on their own. They can create a business plan, receive a loan, and have what seemed like the impossible possible.
Most importantly, the mission is based on faith in God and fellowship with others. Miracles can happen.
We love supporting The Women of Pader Uganda! The people involved in this organization are so passionate about bringing true help to the people of the Pader area. It is amazing how many lives have been changed and impacted through this ministry. Just a few short years ago most of these people were displaced, disconnected and without hope. We have watched incredible restoration and unity unfold in these communities of Uganda bringing women and families together through this ministry. The people of Pader are warm hearted and hungry to learn. The encouragement, expectations and love of Christ from TWOPU teams have helped these women develop quality skills for life. They have grown eager to work together and grow into a community. So many lives are being transformed by prayer, teaching, relationship building and economic guidance. LOVE this group! They don’t just go on a mission trip. They literally live on mission, inspiring the people of Pader to live life to the fullest. Pray for them! Give! Or go along and help teach! You will be so blessed!

The Women of Pader Uganda is a wonderful organization. The leaders have deep love for the women in Pader and have worked tirelessly through the years to empower them to provide for their families and become strong leaders in the community.
Women of Pader is an amazing ministry that helps some of the most vulnerable in a way that is compassionate and empowering. Women of Pader has ministries to address all facets of life - immediate care for those in need through the mercy program; economic care that will break the cycle of poverty through various business options for women; educational program for children; and spiritual care to address the hearts of everyone they serve. Women of Pader approaches this ministry with a goal of lasting change by empowering the women with whom they work. The ministry is fiscally responsible and it is a joy to be able to support them. The work being done with this ministry is so tremendous! This ministry is very efficient and very fiscally responsible!!
In a war-torn forgotten town in northern Uganda, TWOPU is bringing jobs and hope to women. Many are single mothers supporting not only their birth children but other children who have lost parents. Things are dire there. Enter TWOPU which has taught women to make beautiful jewelry to sell. Next came microloans that enabled them to start a business. Now the pig project which allows them to sell piglets, keep some for their family & encourages them to give one away to teach them generosity. The founder has high standards for the women, standards that are covered by her deep love for each of them and their families. I can’t recommend this group highly enough as a Great Nonprofit.
This organization started as gathering and selling handmade jewelry and has expanded to issuing small business loans - all of which have been repaid! - and offering a livestock ownership project. TWOPU’s team constantly are finding ways to support the women who are changing the way that Pader operates! The women in Pader are leaders in their community, have confidence in their ideas, and are learning to sustain their families with thriving businesses for this generation and future generations! It’s a blessing to be a partner with this norm-changing non-profit organization!
