I chose to join the board of the Military Spouse Advocacy Network because I truly believe in their mission and vision. In addition, Verenice Castillo is a force for good, she is one of the most passionate, dedicated and smart people I know. She is such an effective leader and she truly cares about every single member. Beyond that, this organization is an incredible asset to our military community. New spouses in particular could use mentorship and support to tackle all of the issues that come up while trying to navigate this military life. I can say that I would have loved to have a similar program when I was a new spouse. The amount of support and information that members are provided with are priceless. Thank you MSAN for all you do!

Military hearts matter is a nonprofit that started as a grassroots movement and has literally hit at the heart of our community. Heart health among our military/veterans and families is vital and underexamined. From leadership to the boots on the ground volunteers, this nonprofit is genuinely making a difference. The work done here comes from evidence based information that is shared with those who need it the most, with an eye on reaching typically underserved communities - from those they reach to leadership - equity and inclusion is at the heart of this organization. This nonprofit is the real deal. Honored to contribute to their mission.
