I am very proud of this organization. Everyone is a volunteer and the organization refrains from getting into political debates. They focus funds and effort on their mission first and foremost.
I've been volunteering with MSAN for over a year, and I continue to be impressed and humbled both by the mission and the amazing people who work so hard to make it happen and give new spouses the support and guidance they so need from day one. Whether it be peer to peer mentoring, connecting new spouses with resources, or community outreach, MSAN is invaluable both to the military community as a whole and to me personally. I struggled badly as a new Navy spouse, and MSAN has offered me the chance to give back and be who I needed myself when I was younger, and it is so rewarding to see my new spouses grow and succeed.
MSAN is an incredible organization and I only wish it had existed when I was a brand new Military Spouse. It would have been so wonderful to have been able to connect with a peer mentor to guide me through the transition from civilian to military lifestyle. There was so much I didn't know and I had no idea where to look for answers to all of my questions. I've been volunteering my time to MSAN for 1 year now and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. As a Coast Guard spouse, we often feel left out of the military community with us being a part of DHS instead of DOD, but at MSAN every single spouse is welcomed and valued. I feel lucky to be a part of this organization and I can't wait to see the impact we will have on new military spouses in the years to come!
MSAN is an amazing organization! They provide invaluable services to new military spouses. As a mil spouse myself, I know how helpful this can be in such an unsure and challenging time of our lives! So thankful for them.
MSAN has helped me connect with other military spouses around the world. As a National Guard spouse it is hard to find others who understand the struggles we face since we are so geographically dispersed. Through MSAN I have made many friends and learned so many thing about being a military spouse.
I volunteer with MSAN to help new National Guard spouses find their way through this confusing lifestyle. I wish I had this program when I was a new military spouse.
MSAN continues to lead an initiative to provide peer-to-peer mentorship to military spouses around the globe. During the last 4 months, MSAN has reached more 375,000 military spouses that were in need of support and mentorship during an unprecedented time. I am honored to be MSAN's CEO and proudly oversee a mission that continues to be accomplished thanks to the commitment of the best volunteers a nonprofit can have.
Five years ago, I decided to turn my advocacy and voluntarism efforts into a nonprofit to help me have a bigger impact. My passion is to mentor and educate military spouses, mainly the new ones because they need all the support and mentorship that they can have. Today, I look back and realized that this dream has come true because of the amazing team of our volunteers (past and present). The passion and dedication and dedication of our volunteers have changed the lives of more than one thousand new military spouses. MSAN is providing new military spouses peer-to-peer mentorship, education, support and empowerment to have a successful transition from civilian into our military life.
I joined MSAN when I just had my second baby, being a stay-at-home Mom and desperately searching for something else to fill my cup. There’s no better job than being a Mama but joining MSAN has given me a newfound purpose and an activity that fulfills me differently than anything else. Everyone I’ve worked with at MSAN from different branches choose to do this because we all genuinely want to help. There’s no selfish game or competition. Just women supporting women who all have one commonality, being a military spouse. This organization should be shared to all new spouses for guidance, mentorship, and resources.
Military Spouse Advocacy Network is a great community resource for military spouses- from all walks and all branches of the military services. Within MSAN, there are seasoned spouses that connect with new military spouses on a day to day basis, providing the services and support that new spouses need- from day 1. As a National Guard Mentor with MSAN, I love connecting with these brand new military spouses and helping them navigate their own personal journey. Giving back to the community who already gives so much is the least anyone can do to help. I love being part of that community that gives and gives back! MSAN is more than a resource, they are a family.
MSAN is a truly unique and wonderful community of military spouses in all different phases of their military life journey. I am so grateful that I found this community during the global pandemic because they have provided support, understanding and access to resources that I did not even know were available to me. Thank you, MSAN!
I love that Military Spouse Advocacy Network is inclusive of all military branches and components! As a reserve spouse during deployment it was hard to find an organization that was willing to help the reserves and MSAN was welcoming! MSAN continues to be an inclusive and supportive organization that helps all military spouses!
I spent the beginning part of my spouses career in the military hating life. I was alone, confused, and isolated. I stumbled across Military Spouse Advocacy Network one morning on social media, and I felt like I had found my home. I have been a volunteer with the organization for nearly three years. Together, around the world, I have built relationships that have changed my life. I have been given the opportunity to grow and learn alongside many military spouses around the globe. I have become a stronger, more dedicated spouse, leader, and mother. Military Spouse Advocacy Network does more than just provide resources. It’s community is building leaders. It is changing lives.
I’ve been a volunteer with Military Spouse Advocacy Network for nearly two years. In those two years, I have grown to love the mission and everything this nonprofit stands for. The impact I have witnessed has shaped the lives of military spouses around the globe. There is a diverse culture of women and men working together to shape each other into leaders and advocates.
MSAN is the best resource out there for the military spouse community. Pairing me as a mentor to newer spouses as mentees has provided me with friendships I can’t get anywhere else. We are a big family building one another up and cheering each other on as we face struggles as military spouses.
Volunteering with MSAN has been so rewarding. I am able to help guide brand new spouses using the knowledge I have gained in my experience and my training with the hope that they will never feel as if they are going through it alone. MSAN is not only a valuable service to New Military Spouses but it also helps give seasoned military spouses the ability to help others. MSAN does a wonderful job of recognizing their volunteers time and efforts and bringing both seasoned and brand new spouses together as one big happy family. They constantly emphasize that we are in this together.
I started with MSAN about a year ago and Im amazed by the growth that has happened in such a short time! As a mentor for the New Military Spouse Support Program, I started doing what I consider my job as a seasoned spouse, helping the new spouses coming in. The MSAN team provides trainings, programs of interest, constant open door available communication, professional partnerships AND all the branches are represented. I have since promoted to the Air Force Branch Mentor so now I get the chance to work harder for a cause I believe is much needed in todays military lifestyle. The MSAN team strives to provide current, vetted information for our mentees, along with support and guidance from our CEO and Advisor Board.
The Military Spouse Advocacy Network does amazing things to help military spouses. They help with everything from jobs to deployment to family care. They bring together military spouses and encourage them to be the best they can be for themselves and their families while supporting their military spouse.
I love that the mentors are so committed to helping other military spouses! Its a great group of folks from all over the world taking time out of their schedule to make sure that new spouses have all the CORRECT information they need. Its really an amazing organization!
I first got involved with MSAN back in May, as a military spouse of 17 years, as a mentor. Peer to peer mentoring is something that didn't exist when I was a brand new spouse, and getting involved with MSAN as a mentor has been a really rewarding experience. The process is smooth and streamlined and always improving, and I have thoroughly enjoyed connecting with other military spouses and guiding my own mentees as they navigate military life. The community is kind and supportive, the leadership team is responsive and very proactive, and I've really loved the change in myself as I've become the person I needed when I was a young military spouse with nobody to guide me.
I think MSAN is an amazing organization with a wonderful program for mentoring new military spouses. I have enjoyed my time as a mentor so far and look forward to continuing to volunteer with MSAN. I wish it was available to me when I was a new military spouse over 12 years ago. It’s been fun connecting with new military spouses and connecting them to each other through dinner meet-ups.
Military Spouse Advocacy Network is by far the most important resource to Military Spouses! They connect and empower spouses who might have gotten overwhelmed in the military lifestyle.
The Military Spouse Advocacy Network is an amazing nonprofit organization. They reach a large group of spouses that had been overlooked by other military family organizations prior to their establishment! New spouses were a huge portion of military spouses who were completely overlooked with no resources, help, or trusted advice. MSAN sees them and makes a difference in the lives of new spouses through peer-to-peer mentoring and empowerment. Empowered new spouses have the confidence to continue further into military family life and be positive supporters of their spouses, families, and communities. Spouses with a mentor are able to get accurate, up-to-date information on all topics of military life. They are able to ask their questions and receive honest, information supported, branch specific answers directly from their mentor. The organization values each and every one of it's volunteers and it definitely shows!
