Review for Create Now, Inc., Los Angeles, CA, USA
I've been maintaining Create Now's web site since 2006. As a graphic designer and a singer, I know how arts can inspire and bring out the best in everyone, old or young. I've seen it change lives in both small and large ways, and nobody facilitates this better in the lives of at-risk young people than Create Now. It's a privilege to be part of this dynamic, life-affirming group of people.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the knowledge that the work I do gets the word out, bringing in the support needed for staff, volunteers, mentors, and kids to get the most out of their experiences. I see this every time I attend an event or hear about the latest workshop or outing.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
...want to see a more effective marketing program established to raise public awareness of the existence of Create Now in order to bring in ongoing funding to increase and maintain the myriad workshops, outings, and one-on-one mentoring opportunities provided to at-risk kids.

Even though I don't work directly with the kids, what I do helps get the word out about Create Now, and that makes me feel amazingly useful.
