My Nonprofit Reviews

Leading up to my surgery I was under the impression that my insurance company had worked out all of the kinks with the hospital about the cost of the procedure and that basically I would have to pay just my premium. The total cost for my heart procedure was just over $174k. There was talk about a single case agreement which would allow me to pay at maximum $10k. We were prepared to work on monthly payments for that amount for sure.
After my surgery, we were thinking that both the insurance company and the hospital agreed to the single case agreement. Both parties were unable to come to a resolution. Fortunately, my wife found your organization and we teamed up with Brooke Flores. She was incredibly understanding and really deciphered the mess of codes and billing statements and explained how things worked in our favor and in the other two parties.
We felt less pressure at that point but knew the two parties couldn't (or wouldn't) figure out the single case agreement. Brooke helped chip away at our case and before we knew it, the hospital said we owed $36k. Obviously a lot of money but compare that to the price of a home, we'd take it. Fortunately, that amount was not what we settled on. Brooke took both the insurance company and the hospital to task and somehow was able to get that amount written off.
I was able to make single payment of just under $1,500 with her help. Our family was so elated that I still get teary eyed thinking about what a relief this process has been with Brooke's professionalism and tenacity (I am a little blurry-eyed right now). The stress and the unknown went away and it is all due to the help of Brooke. My heart has been healing well since my surgery but now my mind can rest too; thanks to Brooke.
