I was lucky enough to intern at Corazon de Vida as a community manager. While there, I learned how too many children suffer from abuse, neglect, and abandonment, therefore, end up living in the streets in dangerous situations. Unfortunately, it is a worldwide issue, but specifically in Mexico, many of these children are not helped due to the lack of resources. Luckily amazing organizations like Corazon de Vida step up to help support orphanages that care for these children and provide for them. Learning all this information was an eye-opening experience that I will be sharing with as many people as I can because I feel many people may not know about these circumstances.
As an intern, I shared this information and updates on the children in the orphanages on one of the organization's social platforms to let CDV supporters know how their contributions significantly impact these children's lives. My internship experience was amazing, and I am grateful I could be a part of this organization with such a beautiful mission. I highly encourage others wanted to make a positive impact in the community to support this organization - there are so many different ways to contribute.
