In September, it will be seven years since my first trip to the orphanage. I bonded with the children at a particular house and ever since then, I have made every effort to go on the trips when CDV visits that home. The children are happy and well cared for. The facilities are safe. There is a strong focus on education and I've been able to see kids grow up and start careers. The fact that many of them want to go back and support the homes they came from is a testament to their positive experience living there.
The monthly trips are well-organized, safe and the best way to see how your donation is put to use.

I have gone on this trip with the American Red Cross Club at UCI twice now, and each experience was just amazing. Seeing the children filled with energy and being able to play and spend time with them was extremely heartwarming. CDV provides a loving home and an education, it is all such a humbling experience. Can't wait for the next trip!
This was my first time attending a trip with Corazon de Vida and the American Red Cross Club at UCI and it was an absolutely amazing experience! It was an incredibly memorable and a heart-warming experience to interact and play with the children and learn more about the the orphanage. CDV is incredible in caring for the children and I am glad to see the impact we made as a club raising money from fundraising to help better the lives of the children. This trip was exceptionally impactful and I am very excited to attend again next year! Thank you CDV for all your amazing hard work!
The trip I went on this past Saturday with the American Red Cross Club at UCI was absolutely phenomenal. George and Omair were both experienced and amiable trip leaders -- there was never a moment of disarray! I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the ebullient children at the orphanage and gaining insight into their lives. Overall, it was nothing short of an eye-opening experience, one that I would recommend to every individual interested in bettering the lives of the underprivileged. Needless to say, I'm eagerly anticipating next year's trip!
From the past two trips I've attended with Corazon de Vida, I have truly loved everything about it. I got to meet the kids and hear their stories, and learn more about how Corazon de Vida works so hard towards providing them a safe and loving home and their mission to break the cycle of child abandonment through education. I truly enjoyed playing with the kids and being able to give them a day of fun for them. The trip was safe, eye-opening, and I plan on attending again in the future.
I've been on two orphanage trips with the American Red Cross Club at UCI, and each trip has just been an incredible impact on my life. The amazing work that Corazon de Vida is doing with these kids, from providing everyday things that we take for granted such as food, toiletries, and clothes, to a forever home and even access to higher education is absolutely irreplaceable and a privilege to see even once a year. The kids are always willing to play and have fun, and all the adults, from tour guides to the amazing staff working at each home are incredibly nice and kind. I have no words for how their work impacts these kids in a positive way. Every time I go on a CDV trip, I always realize how I take things for granted and it really opens my eyes to the amazing life I live and what we all can do to help others in need. I sincerely thank Corazon de Vida for allowing me to be a part of their amazing work. I can't wait to sign up next year!!
This was my first time visiting an orphanage with CDV. I went with the American Red Cross Club at UCI for their annual trip. I loved spending the day with the children. It was such a eye-opening and humbling experience. I think it’s great that organizations like CDV exists and I’m so grateful I was able to see first hand the effect we have on their lives.
I loved every second of this trip. Everything from the back end was run so smoothly that I didn't need to worry about anything other than having a good time with the kids! I didn't think that my visit was that impactful, but that all changed when one kid literally ran across the whole orphanage to give me a hug before we left.
I went on my first trip with the American Red Cross Club at UCI and it was such a wonderful and eye-opening experience. The club fundraises all year long to donate to CDV and it is very exciting to see firsthand the impact we have. The kids at the home I visited were very enthusiastic and loved to play with us. I am very thankful for the home for having us and would definitely recommend to everyone.
Last year, I attended a trip with the American Red Cross Club at UCI to visit one of the many orphanages that this foundation assists. Our club in particular is dedicated to fundraising all year long to be able to donate to this cause. To be able to see how happy these children are in these special spaces they can call home is so special and rewarding. This was one of those experiences where you can put life into perspective and recognize the privilege we have, and how easy it is to give back to others. I very much recommend going on this trip, as I did again this year, because it really shows you what love and human compassion really is.
This non-profit does the most for kids coming from a broken home. It is truly heartwarming to know non-profit such as CDV exist to care for kids in the community. This was my first trip with CDV and hopefully not my last. I loved the whole humbling experience and hope to come back.
This was my second time visiting a home with CDV. Every year, the American Red Cross Club at UCI plans a visit to one of the homes so that we can play with the children we donate to. Every trip humbles you and shows you just how important your contributions towards the foundation are. The kids are full of energy and are extremely well behaved. The kids even performed dances for our visit. It was very humbling to see how the children lived but I am grateful that they have the opportunity to stay in these homes. Each visit is a wonderful and insightful trip that everyone deserves to experience.
CdV is such an impressive organization doing amazing work supporting the orphans in Baja. When I went on one of their bus trips to spend a day at one of the several orphanages they support, everything I observed spoke to their commitment to providing the best possible quality of life to their kids. What they accomplish is nothing short of miraculous. It takes a lot of work and a lot of dedication. I salute them.
I went to CDV with the American Red Cross Club at UCI. And it was such a memorable, heart warming experience that I will never forget. I had so much fun playing and interacting with the kids. It was a pleasure to plan and help lead this event, with my Co-chair Jacqueline. Definitively plan to help give back to CDV in the future by any way that I can. #CorazondeVida
