SPCA is a great organization to collaborate and work with. On behalf of everyone at Lucky Animal Protection Shelter (LAPS), especially the animals, we thank SPCA for their compassion and support.

There is a huge problem with stray and feral dogs in KPK province and in Peshawar in particular where LAPS is located.

Rabies is endemic in dogs and every year there are a number of people who die from the bites of rabid dogs. There are also no rescue or emergency services available in the entire city and province for injured and abandoned dogs.

Animal abuse is rampant and the social and cultural environment and attitudes also cause immense cruelty and suffering for these dogs at the hands of local population on the street.
LAPS is the first and only registered dog rescue & animal protection shelter in KPK province.

We needed help to support our mission to curb stray dog overpopulation by spaying, neutering and vaccinating the animals and SPCA was right there to assist us. They are truly a blessing!
