The Career Gateway training was invaluable! Our facilitator, Dr. Elisse, our career guru for the week, knew her stuff; her discussions prepared us for reentering the world of work. I enjoyed the daily discussions because we all have a story to tell about our struggles and triumphs as we seek employment. I met some engaging individuals; it’s good to connect with people this way, those who can relate to you as an over 50-year old in today’s job market. Some simply give up the job search, but this training will fill you with confidence to keep at it! Resume reviewers will assess your resume! Do you realize how expensive it can be to hire a resume writer? And, the interview session? We observed one of our classmates at a mock panel interview; I was nervous for him, but we learn so much, such as how to answer those dreaded interview questions when you feel you’re under the microscope. Jodi, who coordinated our training, made each day a seamless session; we received a comprehensive binder filled with so much good content. I’ve said enough here, but I guess you know by now that I highly recommend the Career Gateway!
