Review for National Brussels Griffon Rescue Incorporated, Dallas, TX, USA
My story with the NBGR Inc. - where to begin? I've known and had a relationship with this organization for almost fifteen years.
The National Brussels Griffon Rescue Incorporated (NBGR) is one of the most well organized and dedicated rescue non-profits I've ever known. The volunteer leadership is strong with a national network of dedicated volunteers who find, transport, foster, care for initial medical and social emotional well-being, and knowledgeably place each rescued Griffon in a loving home. All members of the NBGR are volunteers!
The organization has volunteer coordinators in different regions all over the United States. These volunteers work tirelessly and lovingly and frequently must be available at a moment's notice to assist with a rescued or abandoned Griffon and begin the process of helping the dog find his or her forever home!
When the organization places a dog with an owner, they take into consideration all aspects of the breed, the living environment, the owner profile, and any special concerns that are part of a specific rescued or surrendered Griffon.
I want to underscore that the NBGR Inc. has always been with me every step of the way in helping with decisions about whether a Griff adoption was a good fit with my home environment. I know this because once the organization told me that a Griff I hoped to adopt would not be a good fit with my living environment. Then, they recommended another dog that was up for adoption instead. I took their advice and that Griffon match was definitely a match made in heaven.
When I needed advice about caring for my rescued Griffon, the NBGR volunteers always made it clear that the organization was there to be sure that each rescued Griff was in a loving home and it was a successful adoption all the way around.
If not, the NBGR, Inc. will always be there for the dogs they place and insists that adoptive owners return the dog to the organization if that ever became necessary. There are dedicated volunteers who work together to coordinate local efforts to help surrendered, abandoned, or neglected Griffs find loving homes.
At this time, I have two older rescues that the NBGR organization saved. Once it was determined that these two Griffs - Nemo and Taser - would be a good fit in our family home, we were able to adopt them from the rescue organization. They are wonderful and are the full-time companions we wished for in our canine family members.
The NBGR Inc. foster mom and volunteer coordinator for our adoption experience are Facebook friends and delight in hearing the escapades or every-day stories about Tasor and Nemo! This is the case with every special dog helped by the NBGR. I whole-heartedly recommend the National Brussels Griffon Rescue (NBGR) as an exemplary and dedicated non-profit organization.
