We've been "on the ground" involved in Divine Care for 8 years. Five trips to Uganda have given us the opportunity to see the leadership, the staff, the children and the communities up close and personal. We can say without a doubt DCM is the best investment (physically, spiritually and financially) we've ever made in an international ministry. What makes DCM so special? It's the entire organization's commitment to a hands up, not a hand out which we've personally witnessed. On our early visits, all the dental work was done by our US dentists. Now, Ugandan dentists are in charge with our team providing support. My wife taught the women how to make menstrual pads to deal with a major problem where many girls leave school when they become of age. The women are now making pads on their own. What began 20 years ago with one compassionate God-centered couple taking in a few orphans in AIDS ravaged Uganda, is now a ministry that's impacting 1600+ children and transforming communities.
