Divine Care Ministries is the most transparent nonprofit we've supported. They truly want you to be a part of the ministry and update on what is happening freely. We trust them 100% with the resources we give to use them in the best way needed for the ministry. Peter and Phoebe have big hearts for the children, for the gospel to be shared, and for every ministry partner. We are blessed to be a part!
My pastor has been on a mission trip to work with Divine Care Ministries and has been in relationship with them for many years. Peter and Phoebe came to our church and shared about their work and the great spread of the gospel in specific areas in Uganda. The stories and evidence of the tremendous life changing ministry that God is leading in these people is amazing. God is working and lives are being changed for Him. Peter and Phoebe shared about the need for a dormitory for children. God moved in me to help with this project.
We became aware of Divine Care early when we met Peter and Phoebe Sozi, the founders. They are wonderful people who love the Lord and the children. It is comforting to KNOW our donations are being used wisely for the betterment of the children. There is no high overhead and waste with Divine Care Ministries.
Divine Care Ministries lead by Peter and Phoebe Sozi is an amazing endeavor. Not only does it provide schooling and housing for over 1800 orphaned and needy children in Uganda, it also plants churches in some of the roughest and most hostile areas of the country and teaches, trains, and supports women to become self-supporting to be able to provide a better life for their families and children. I have been involved with this ministry for almost 10 years and am constantly amazed at how much Peter and Phoebe have been able to accomplish to better the lives of people all over Uganda.
My husband and I have sponsored two children for years. One has graduated. The other is still in school. Both have written to us from time to time letting us know how they were doing and what our sponsorship meant to them.
We know and love Peter and Phoebe. They are a dedicated couple who are actively involved in the lives and work of the people they serve.
I met one of the leaders of this nonprofit when she visited Hendersonville, TN more than a decade ago. A dear friend of mine had traveled to Uganda and saw firsthand the work being done, and invited her to tell her story to a small group in her home. We immediately decided to sponsor a child, and have continued to be thankful for that opportunity. Divine Care Ministries functions as Jesus’ hands and feet in the world today.

It is a privilege to be involved with DCM
We have partnered with this ministry for many years . Divine Care uses all resources wisely and has helped thousands of children and young adults have fruitful lives. Many of these children after receiving and education return to help in the ministry themselves. A true blessing to be a small part of this ministry for many years now. Rufus snd Donna Gonder
The efficiency and effectiveness with which Divine Care Ministries provides for so many in need in Uganda is refreshing and inspiring. Their long-view approach to changing a culture while still attending to real, current human need is why my wife and I are thrilled to have been a small part of their support for over a decade. We also have greatly appreciated their clear, uncomplicated and very honest communication throughout the years.
My husband and I have partnered with Divine Care Ministeries for about 15 years. We have sponsored three children through them and can really see the impact they are having in Uganda. Peter and Phoebe are so anointed and are pouring their hearts and souls into the ministry. They have touched, blessed, and changed so many lives.
We have been supporters of Divine Care Ministries for over 10 years. We have visited Uganda numerous times. The value of the financial support far exceeds expectations. This is a ministry that does not waste a dime and is an effective forward thinking ministry that loves Uganda well. The leaders are faithful christians who continue to amaze us with their endeavors to strengthen the people, the communities, and the nation that they serve spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially.
Those few Divine Care Ministry folks I’ve met personally have changed my thoughts and ways forever. God has used them to show me His great love for children of all ages, and especially for small innocents. Pastor Peter and Phoebe have helped increase my prayer life and my giving; I thank God for this anointed ministry!
Divine Care is my favorite charitable organization. It was started by a phenomenal Ugandan couple, Peter and Phoebe Sozi who partner with U.S. child sponsors to feed, clothe and educate approximately 1,000 precious Ugandan children. The Sozis started this much needed organization literally under a tree , and through their successful partnerships and diligence, now have a school and a medical clinic and are helping to lift many families out of dire poverty. Over 90% of funding goes directly to help the kids. We have been child sponsors for over 10 years and couldn’t be more pleased
My family has partnered with Divine Care Ministries for over 15 years. We were encouraged to visit, to witness the incredible work that God is doing with our investment of His resources. We have seen for ourselves, God is changing lives in Uganda! They have kept their administrative costs low, and donations have had a tremendous impact on the children, families and communities touched by Divine Care Ministries.
My husband and I got to witness first hand the love and dedication the staff, caregivers and teachers share with the children at Divine Care Ministries. We observed many situations that were handled with families that allowed them to keep their dignity. We watched children of all ages raise their hands and voices praising the one true God. We are sponsors and know with out a doubt the money goes to good use. Each child in this world needs to feel loved and cared for and we know that is happening at Divine Care.
From the time I met the Divine Care Ministries' founding missionaries, Peter and Phoebe Sozi, I knew that God was in this Ugandan NGO for Ugandans. Since then I have been a part of over 12 missions with DCM. I have experienced first hand how secure housing, food, medical care, education and the love of God can raise up orphans and at-risk children to become contributing members of their country. These children have become doctors, lawyers, dentists, teachers, ministers, social workers, nurses, business people, agricultural experts and mothers and fathers raising the next generation of Ugandan leaders.
As an orthodontist I was acutely interested in Ugandan dental care. When I was first there in 2011, there was only 1 dentist for 100,000 people. DCM and their partners saw this need and built a dental clinic at their Divine Grace School. Equipped with 3 dental chairs and one mobile unit, the teachers and students of the school as well as the surrounding villages were given access to dental care. U.S. teams worked with Uganda Dental Association volunteers to provide intensive dental clinics at the school as well as in other locations. DCM now has their own Ugandan dentist providing care on a weekly basis. Two of the DCM children have recently completed dental school and will be expanding the opportunity for dental care.
Divine Care Ministries does not just take care of its own. The North-Eastern part of Uganda, Karamoja, is a large area where cattle are raised and time has stood still in many ways. DCM and their Ugandan partners have introduced not only God’s love, but also clean water, agriculture, education, and health care practices. Empowering and training local leaders to help their own is part of DCM’s operating strategy. Their ministry reaches all across Uganda. There is much need and much to be done; but, Divine Care Ministries can be counted on to maximize their resources for the betterment of Uganda. I personally have seen my mission investment dollars literally transform lives through the careful management and distribution by DCM. I am honored to be one of their volunteers.
My wife and I have been volunteers and board members of this ministry for over 20 years. We have come to know Peter and Phoebe extremely well during this time. We have stayed in their home and they in ours many times over these years. Divine Care has grown from helping 22 children when I began volunteering to helping over 1,500 now. Their heart is for helping the most vulnerable of children and in doing so they also become involved in the communities where the children have lived. Their approach is holistic and involves meeting the child's individual needs. This includes helping with school fees, providing food and medical and dental care as needed. They are also involved in meeting the child's spiritual needs. The ministry runs two primary schools and pays school fees for many students in secondary boarding schools. Women's Empowerment projects include instruction in tailoring as well as providing goats or chickens with personal guidance in care of the animals.
I am honored to be associated with this ministry. Their goal is transforming communities by mentoring and caring for children and their families. I wholeheartedly endorse supporting this ministry.
We have been a part of Divine Care Ministries since 2010. We have had the privilege of sponsoring two precious children... from 'primary' school up through college for one of them. She graduates next month with an accounting degree - praise God! We have enjoyed watching our 'children' grow and develop through letters and photos we have exchanged.
Throughout these last 10+ years we have been impressed with the dedication, thoughtful expansion, and effort Peter and Phoebe Sozi and volunteers/leaders within the Divine Care Ministries stateside, have had in growing this ministry to spread the love of Jesus in real and tangible ways that have a tremendous impact on so many lives. Not only on the children they directly serve, but also for the staff that works with the children, and the childrens' families. Also, in some instances, entire communities have been served and changed.
The ministry has done a great job of keeping us informed and giving us the opportunity to help financially on different projects without us ever feeling like we were pressured to give or using our gifts in a way we did not intend. We believe they have been very fiscally conservative and have done a great job in prioritizing the greatest needs of the children and people they serve. We believe Divine Care is making big strides in spreading the Good News to the people of Uganda!
We've been "on the ground" involved in Divine Care for 8 years. Five trips to Uganda have given us the opportunity to see the leadership, the staff, the children and the communities up close and personal. We can say without a doubt DCM is the best investment (physically, spiritually and financially) we've ever made in an international ministry. What makes DCM so special? It's the entire organization's commitment to a hands up, not a hand out which we've personally witnessed. On our early visits, all the dental work was done by our US dentists. Now, Ugandan dentists are in charge with our team providing support. My wife taught the women how to make menstrual pads to deal with a major problem where many girls leave school when they become of age. The women are now making pads on their own. What began 20 years ago with one compassionate God-centered couple taking in a few orphans in AIDS ravaged Uganda, is now a ministry that's impacting 1600+ children and transforming communities.
