I just had a dear friend/coworker who was set to adopt a dog this past weekend. She met the representatives at the park, walked around with them as well as the dog. She was all set and was on her way home with her new dog that she had been so ecstatic to adopt and take care of.

While on the way home her new dog was cuddling with her so she removed her leash while in the car. When she pulled up and open the door to go inside her dog zoomed out of the car so quick. Her being a tired stressed out Healthcare worker for a retirement community that is locked down due to covid. She works so hard everyday doing everything for these residents since families aren't allowed inside.

She did the right thing and called the agency representative and explained immediately what happened. They came to her house to help look for the dog seeing as the dog is super familiar with them and not the new owner as it has not gotten used to her. They did locate the dog and returned to her house only to give back her check and they told her " this is just a bad sign that it's not meant to be."

My friend is a Filipino woman who takes care of the elderly DAILY and yet she's not fit to adopt the dog?? This sounds like racism at it's finest. Had she been a white dog owner they would've told her " it's okay, mistakes happen," The overall guilt and shame you made this grown woman feel was completely disgusting and uncalled for. She paid $1600 for the dog...which is an insane adoption fee for a grown dog.

I've adopted dog through Big dog rescue group and had the best professionals handling the adoption. I suggest anyone looking does the same before considering this awful establishment.
