Review for National Brussels Griffon Rescue Incorporated, Dallas, TX, USA
National Brussels Griffon Rescue is an outstanding organization run by the kindest and most empathetic people walking the planet who give countless hours of their time to alleviate the suffering of those most in need. The expertise and exceedingly high level of professionalism ensure the organization is run well and efficiently. The group is incredibly timely with a network of devoted well vetted foster homes and adopters to swoop in on any situation at a moments notice to provide much needed help. Over many years I have had the great opportunity to work with Vicki and was able to bring home Griff, Gordon, Coco 1, Coco 2, Oliver and Jock. This group of very special adoptees included a puppy mill rescue, a formerly obese pup, a diabetic pup, a pup with Cushings disease, and several with neurological issues and eye ailments. One sweet pup was given up blind and in ill health and we were able to provide end of life care and comfort and love of just one week. Another sweet pup was given by a wonderful older gentleman from a loving home who we still keep in touch with and send pictures.
The stories of logistics to get these pups properly vetted with much needed medical care and on to their new homes speaks to the dedication of this group with multiple drivers needed over many hours/days at times.
The success of the group is the result of the wonderful people who run it. The vetting that goes on is extensive and respected. Recently I decided to take in a pup from another organization and learned that other groups do not compare to NBGR in their ability to properly screen their animals and match to the best family. As much as these groups are working to help animals in need they may not have the expertise to successfully place these pups.
NBGR also works to help other similar breeds with courtesy postings and also pups who may not be fully BG. This is a wonderful organization that does not discriminate and deserves our support.
The group is also a wonderful resource for those of us who have adopted. I am amazed at the wealth of medical expertise and experience when I have called with questions in the past.
Thank you Vicki and NBGR for all of the incredibly wonderful selfless work to place these precious pups!
