Tomten Farm and Sanctuary continues to be an impressive non-profit organization passionately dedicated to the sustainable and responsible rescue of animals in need. So, after 3 years as a board member, I feel as gratified as ever about being part of this amazing Tomten community. Therefore, I will continue to proudly remain a board member and look forward to the ever-evolving endeavors of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary. My experience with this rescue over the last 6 years has expanded from helping with the care of the animals to learning about their individual needs based on their species along with their sweet and quirky personalities. Every single animal gets personalized attention with their nutritional and healthcare needs. For instance, a "buffet" of minerals is located in every shed, along with their favorite treats. With ongoing education and transparency, Tomten is the most respected organization that I have ever known. I am confident supporting Tomten will heighten your gratitude for the incredible humanity and kindness of people.

The first time I volunteered at Tomten, I was hooked. I was taught how to respectfully greet the animals and learn about each of their stories. As a sanctuary, the animals are living out their lives in peace and joy. It warms my heart to see the donkeys and ponies frolic and the sheep and horses share a tender moment eating together. This a unique organization that puts the animals and safety above all else. Tomten is a grassroots, non profit that depends solely on volunteers and donors for care and funding. The founder, Jen Vickery, shares stories and photos on FB and IG that makes you feel intimately involved in the animals' lives. Everyday, I look forward to seeing all the fun and touching photos of the animals. It's a very special place for animals and humans alike. I am honored to be a part of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary!
