Review for American Drum Line Association, Corona, CA, USA
I have been associated with the American Drum Line Association since it's inception, as a school director, instructor, past board member and adjudicator. This grass roots organization has succeeded in continuing to serve the local school and youth ensembles with quality performance opportunities, clinicians, and performance venues, even experiencing growth, in a very difficult economic climate. The state of the art of percussion in Southern California has improved tremendously over the last two decades, largely due to the efforts of the American Drum Line Association and similar organizations.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Raising the standards of percussion performance and participation in the arts in the Southern California area, as evidenced by the growth in number and the quality of percussion performing ensembles participating in the association's events. Many of the area's current instructors started their playing careers as performing members in ensembles participating in the American Drum Line Association. events.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Try to find more opportunities for collaboration between the music industry and the association that would allow the association to assist members in meeting the financial needs of entering competitive events.
