I've known Tomten for seven years...from mid-sized rescue farm to it's current size in New Hampshire. The effort and the ethic remain the same. Every creature, animals and volunteers, is valued and loved and cared for. It is truly a magical place where all the animals have names and their needs are known and fulfilled. This is rescue done right.
Visit if you can; speak your support for this work; donate; smile, knowing that such a magical place as Tomten exists.

What to say?...How to describe the magic of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary?..I've been lucky enough to be involved with Tomten for almost five years...volunteering, touring, and donating. Each time I visit, or read a post, I'm reminded that this is an enterprise built on love. Love for life, love for the outdoors, love for all creatures. and love for the downtrodden animal. who has almost been lost but is found by Jen and her Board. I love the gentleness and thought and caring that goes into every stall, shed, haybag and fence that is Tomten. I don't doubt for a minute that the animals absorb this love and feel it down to their bones.
I also want to mention the social media presence...the pictures, the beautifully written stories, the educating facts, the list goes on.
Follow these folks...donate what you can,...visit if possible. I am a better human because I have spent time at Tomten.

There is magic here...A sprawling farm that is home to more than fifty animals, many of whom have been rescued from the 'to be slaughtered' line at auction. One remarkable woman, with her dedicated Board and a bunch of volunteers provide food, shelter, medications, vet services and most of all love and respect for every creature. Donkeys, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits all will live out their days in peace and protection.
There are no salaries here...all volunteer and every penny raised goes to the care of the animals. A great place to visit, volunteer or donate.
