Review for SAVING GRACE ANIMALS FOR ADOPTION INC, Wake Forest, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Hi, my name is Jasper!

I still can't believe it. Just last Monday afternoon, I was huddled in a box on the side of a river, shivering, next to my drowned mom and two of my siblings. I thought I was a goner.
Then a young lady happened by and she peeked in the box. Before I knew it, I was on my way to a local supermarket where she worked and in the hands of some sympathetic staff that washed me and gave me some water and a bite to eat.
I was really bushed!
Then at the shift change, this really big and tall guy (whose name I found out later is Kaelan) wrapped me up in a towel and said he was taking me home. I was breathless.
He walked me into the house still wrapped in the towel and before he could utter a word, his mom, Miss Kelly, said "No way, Kaelan, we already have two dogs and five cats and a bearded dragon lizard. NO MORE PETS!" I was crushed!
I might add at this point that Miss Kelly is really a very nice, caring person but was really to her limit on pets.
The conversation continued as I slipped back into my shivering mode when I heard someone mention "dog pound"!
But then I heard another voice mutter, "NO DOG POUND! I'll take the little guy!" It was that Old Guy with the hair on his face who they referred to as "Pop Pop".
A reprieve! I was elated! I could sleep the night in comfort.
First thing Tuesday morning Miss Kelly was on the phone to Clemson Animal Hospital. They said they were booked but if I could be dropped off that they would fit me in during the day. So off I went. I got poked and prodded and stuck with sharp things, but they were very nice and they gave me some great food.
That afternoon, the Old Guy and his granddaughter, Devon, picked me up and swept me away to a place called Petco. A half hour or so later I walked out proudly with my new blue harness and leash. OG also picked up a crate, a doggy booster seat, a doggy seat belt, and a bag of chicken & brown rice puppy chow for when the bag that the vet's office gave me runs out!
Wow, life is good after all!
And Miss Kelly, Kaelan, Cyrus, Devon, OG, and countless friends and neighborhood kids treat me like a prince!
Thank you Saving Grace for allowing me to share my story!
