Last Wednesday, we found an injured Pigeon in the backyard of my house, poor thing couldn't fly, I think it wasn't going to survive, we grabbed it and put it in a box with some food and water, I had to go to work the next two days and my Baby was the one who always checked if the bird was okay, I noticed the Pigeon ate, that was a good sign. I posted a notice on Facebook asking what I can do, where I can take it, etc., I received many comments people who say to killed it, to cook, they even sent me recipes on how to prepare it, but they also put positive things where to take. Saturday a woman contacted me in private, She is the Pigeon's angel, she gave me the numbers of the site where they rescue, cure and given up for adoption. Yesterday, we took the Pigeon to an sanctuary. Jill the other angel showed us how they take care them, how they are, because we have no clue about birds. They really are intelligent birds, fragile, we told that many people use them to train dogs, something that seems horrible to me. My baby was fascinated to see all that, we know children need to see these cases to learn, to realize that animals are not to abuse, or use them for horrifying things. If we are more compassionate and careful about what we teach to others the world can be different, we are adults who know what is good and what is bad. It is up to us wht they learn.
