In a week from today my wife will take her oath of citizenship. I find it fitting that this will take place two days before Thanksgiving Day and I am grateful.

My first conversation with KCO was over the telephone and I was stressed-out. Stressed-out trying to parse the legalese that USCIS documents are written in, not to mention thinking of the expense of filing and attorney's fees, and I'm sorry to admit, I was not too polite. For that I whole heartedly apologize. And thinking now of that conversation I will report that KCO did not skip a beat. She seemed to know, to understand. And without offense or annoyance in her voice at my abruptness she explained what CLA offers and the intake process. We agreed to follow through with a council meeting and I hung up the phone remarkably relieved and a whole lot calmer.

So here we are, one plus year later and my dear wife is about to take her oath which she has worked so very hard to achieve and been so very patient with The Process - way more patient than this yankee could ever be. Lesson humbly learned.

I'd like to state for the record that CLA, and particularly KCO, have been nothing short of SPECTACULAR through the entire process, guiding us with learned advice and professionalism from start to finish. We also weren't bankrupted trying to achieve our goal and found no lack in their knowledge of the process. A very big GRACIAS to you and your staff Keiko. May the stars shine on your path.
