After retiring 3 yrs ago, I knew I wanted something to do out of the house. I knew I wanted to do something with small children and/or animals. Since I am already babysitting 2 of our 5 grandkids 1X per week, the natural direction was to look for a volunteer job with animals. Jameson Humane is a natural fit for me. I thought I wanted to walk dogs or hang out with the cats, but help was really needed with 15 of the 65 bunnies that had been rescued from a Napa neighborhood. What a treat! I clean their pens and hang out with them to get them accustomed to humans so they are more adoptable. Yes, I love visiting all the animals on the Ranch, but I must say that the people that run this non-profit are fabulous! I hear their appreciation for my volunteer work everyday I am there and they are all just good people doing what they can for animals. Nothing but 5 stars for these folks! So proud to be a part of the future of Jameson Humane.
