The Cahokia Mounds is an amazing place! Everything you could want in an historic site is right here - the rich culture of the Native American people, the fascinating archeology unearthed, and the beautiful remaining mounds and trails for discovery. The Interpretive Center helps a visitor understand the significance of this World Heritage site, and kind docents regale stories of the distant past and of the site! When friends come to visit St Louis, I always bring them to this special place!
