I haven’t actually had any personal dealings with Habitat for Horses, but I follow them on Facebook. I’ve always been so impressed with the bios they do on each horse in their care. They really evaluate each horse as an individual, and let each horse progress at their own pace. They also work closely with law enforcement on cruelty cases. If it’s determined a horse needs to stay with them, that horse is given sanctuary at their facility for the remainder of its life. If I’m ever lucky enough to be able to own a horse, I’d be delighted to adopt a horse from Habitat for Horses.
