The most wonderful place to volunteer, foster, and adopt. I have been coming to this shelter for over a decade and am continually impressed with the staff's dedication to animal welfare --- and to human welfare as well! Every effort is made to set an animal up for success in its new home. Volunteers are treated with respect and affection and are truly made to feel part of a team. The foster program saves so many lives every year. Fosters are trained, supported, and appreciated. By far the best regional place for animals and the people who care about them. My experience as an adopter has been nothing short of delightful every time. Adoption counselors truly know the animals they introduce to me, and they celebrate a good match with genuine enthusiasm. A happy place!
