Revved Up Kids will equip your children and teens to recognize, avoid and escape (if necessary) inappropriate behavior -- whether it comes from a stranger or from someone they know. The sad (and alarming) fact is that in 90% of cases, abusers and their victims knew each other before the abuse. One of the most important things you can do to protect your children is to give them the knowledge to be smarter, stronger and safer. Revved Up Kids uses research-tested, age-appropriate material and training to empower children and teens -- not frighten them -- and to teach simple, memorable techniques to deflect potential abusers and to communicate to parents and other adults when inappropriate behavior occurs. There also are classes and training for parents and for others who have children in their care, such as schools and community groups. I highly recommend Revved Up Kids as essential to any child or teen's education.
