HomeStretch invited Revved Up Kids to lead a kids safety workshop as part of our Youth LifeSkills program and also a parents workshop on safety and awareness. The program was relevant, creative and engaging. The parents feedback was all positive. We considered it time well spent for both youth and parents. HomeStretch guides working homeless families toward stability and the contect and delivery of the Revved Up Kids program enhanced our mission...the families needed this information and will remember it. Thank you Revved Up Kids!
I just took my 8th grader to a middle school self-defense class at the Decatur Police Dept. put on by Revved Up Kids. They do training starting at 5 years old through high school, I think sometimes college. The training was EXCELLENT, and I was taking notes on my phone through the whole thing. My daughter and about 40-50 kids participated while parents sat and observed and learned. The instructor was WONDERFUL, she looked like she could have been anyone's mom, and was accessible and funny and kept the kids really engaged. She gave out a lot of information in the 2-hour class, and the kids had a chance to try different self-defense moves against dummies for at least half of it. They will work with any school, congregation, youth group, scouts, etc. to provide trainings. There were both boys and girls there and I could tell they were learning something they didn't know. Totally worth the $25 charge through the DPD (not sure if it was subsidized by DPD). I think they also offered classes through DPD for younger and older ages. Wanted to share and highly recommend this program.
Revved Up Kids, Inc. presented their program at Girl Talk Camp 2017 this past summer and were absolutely amazing! Alli, David, and their team were extremely friendly and generous with their time and talents. They taught our 100+ 4th - 12th grade girls how to defend themselves and be confident in a situation. Our girls were not only engaged throughout the program, but learned techniques and lessons that will help them for years to come. We wanted to provide a program that would be informative and hands on and were thrilled when we connected with Alli. Revved Up Kids definitely exceeded our expectations and we hope to be able to partner with them again soon.
I was not able to make it with my son so my mom went they had a great time even though my son was the one taking the class he had a awasom time and my mom learned a lot as well from it . Thank You so much for having them last Sat at the Decatur police station they were in the first group
Revved up Kids came to instruct our kids over the summer and did a great job. I especially enjoyed how they empowered our young ladies and gave them the space to talk and discuss physical safety and safe relationships. I would definitely recommend revved up kids to any organization looking to empower the youth and encourage safety in the community. The trainers were very professional
I attended the K-5 2-hour workshop with my 7 year-old daughter, and it was great.
She had a lot of fun kicking and punching, while in between getting quit a lot of information, which was delivered in a way the kids could understand. It did open my eye to a could of scenarios I had not think of!
I would do it again in a heart beat .
I attended a Revved Up Kids session with my 7 yr old daughter yesterday. It was so informative for us both. Highly recommend!
The K-5 Safety/Self-Defense Workshop was wonderful! The instructor was fabulous - clear and to the point but also had a sense of humor. I feel my child is much better armed to identify unsafe people and also defend himself if need be. Plenty of great information for parents, too. It's a conversation we need to keep having, and I feel much more prepared to so now. Thank you!
The Child Safety Tips for Parents seminar was top notch. I would recommend it to all parents. - Lt. Jennifer Ross, City of Decatur Police Department
Amazing how this group reaches, touches and demonstrates self defense in a non threatening and encouraging way to our girls/women at our retreats. They faithfully come each time we have a retreat and share.
Revved Up provided a great training experience for middle school students at a summer youth enrichment camp in June 2017. The participants learned valuable information about their personal safety in a safe, interactive and fun environment. The instructors were super organized and related very well to the youth participants. Great asset to the summer youth camp program.
What an outstanding and much needed program! The information, true stories and then hands on techniques was absolutely awesome. Our teen girls loved it! Being aware of your surrounding, being alert, safe and knowing self defense moves that will help get you out of harms way benefits EVERYONE! Hats off Revved Up Kids!
Great program for kids of all ages! Thanks Georgia Center for Child Advocacy for bringing this awesome program to our community. Top notch!!!
Fantastic training for my 9 year old daughter and members of my Girl Scout troop. Age-appropriate, awesome instructors, passionate owners. Would highly recommend!
Second time my daughter has attended a workshop. Provides great information in a non-threatening way. Highly recommended.
Revved Up Kids tailored a program for our Teen Girls, ages 12 to 18. It was extremely informative and most helpful for the girls to learn Self Defense Techniques. As a Mother/Daughter organization, the moms knew the class would be beneficial but we were pleasantly surprised by the number of girls who wanted to participate and their positive feedback. We highly recommend Revved Up Kids. Every teenage girl should attend this class!
I was really impressed with the class! I was able to observe while my 12 year old daughter took the class. The information presented was real and helpful. She really enjoyed the class and took away a lot of great tips! Thank you for making a difference!
My group of middle school-aged Girl Scouts participated in a Safety Class with Revved Up Kids. Alli & David were fantastic to work with before the event, and were incredibly helpful and responsive to questions and concerns. The class content was detailed, with information and examples that were very relatable to the girls. The girls especially loved the hands-on portion of the class, during which they learned how to defend themselves in a variety of dangerous situations. The parents all had very positive feedback, especially as related to the portions of the class that concerned social media, and helping girls overcome their fear of being "impolite" when in uncomfortable/potentially dangerous situations,
