This is from my visit last August 2019.

I just got back from the most magical place on earth. I’ll bet your thinking Disney! You are incorrect! I was at Rosemary Farm in South Kortright New York at the guest house. Which you can book through Airbnb. If this is not heaven, the gate is very nearby! There are horses grazing in a meadow outside your bedroom window. This place has to be experienced to be believed. I’ve been here 3 times. Stayed at the guest house twice. There truly are not enough adjectives to adequately describe the serenity, tranquility, or beauty of this most magical place. I almost 😢 when it was time to leave! While I was there, Dawn (the founder) took River and I on a guided tour meeting lots of the horses. The last night we got to groom horses at Ella’s place (one of the barns). I groomed Kevin, a retired NYC carriage horse. He is HUGE. Probably 17 hands for you horse people out there. And I groomed Lamar, a surrendered camp pony. A beautiful black and white spotted horse (not sure of the correct term. Not a pinto) that is blind in one eye. River groomed one of the three new, as yet unnamed horses. One is white and so beautiful she could be a unicorn if she had a horn! She has blue eyes! Very pretty! I also got to meet Nemo, the superstar donkey with the prosthetic leg! He is so inspirational! Please check out their FB page, their website, their fundraising page.
