A worry cause where the troops get remembered by ‘a little bit of home’.

Retirement has been a good ‘separation from the norm’.
After retiring a few months ago, I made the decision to give back in a unique way with Cigars For Warriors. This excellent 501c3 non-profit deals with cigar manufacturers, retail shops and cigar bars, to collect donated premium hand rolled cigars and bags of coffee to be sent to our troops overseas in harms way. Research has shown that when the troops can stop, gather around a remote office desk or even a campfire, the camaraderie of a good ‘cup of Joe’ ☕️ and the occasional pleasure of a fine cigar with comrades helps to prevent PTSD and remove the stress of battle from these warriors.

I figure it’s a great way to combine my interest in the construction and culture of ‘cigars’ and hand picked coffee, while helping others. I shall see where this path takes me.
