I became a volunteer foster for a husky that I found neglected running with a huge chain around her neck. No other rescue would help me but HHSHR! After she was spayed and vetted she was adopted to the most amazing home because of the work HHSHR does in finding the right home. They actually care about where their dogs go and making sure they are in their FOREVER home. I have volunteered and fostered dozens of dogs with other rescues and they are the best!
I continued my contact with HHSHR and fostered and and adopted the sweetest husky girl from a 29 plus Husky/ Husky mix neglect/hoarding situation that HHSHR undertook. Cherie who heads the organization is an amazing person. Never turns her back on these suffering dogs! I highly recommend HHSHR for adopting and fostering/volunteering, or if giving monetarily everything goes to the support of the dogs!
