At the beginning of this Pandemic, we had a heartbreaking loss when our family dog, Genie, of 12 years suddenly got sick and died. My youngest daughter had taken Genie off to college with her earlier in the year. She was heartbroken and lost without her Genie. After about 3 months, she was ready to open her heart up to a new love. After doing a lot of searching on our own and not finding the right fit, I asked a friend for suggestions. She immediately put me in contact with Heather at SGER. Heather listened to our needs and intuitively knew she had the perfect new love for us. In less than 2 weeks we brought our new love, Foxy, home and now we can’t imagine life without her. What I love about Heather is she is committed to finding her animals not just homes, but the right homes. Her love for the animals she serves is inspiring. I was moved to changed my Amazon charity to SGER after my experience and following Heather and her journey. I hope our Foxy is with us for many years, but when and if we have a spot for a new love, SGER will be my go to.
