Review for Constructing Hope Pre- Apprenticeship Program, Portland, OR, USA
Constructing Hope Pre- Apprenticeship Training Program is a beacon of Light and "HOPE!"
Targeting undeserved communities, People of Color and previously incarcerated men and women, marginalized people, Youth and unskilled Young Adults Construction Hope offers Skilled training in the Construction Industry that lead to a 'Living Wage ' Career that could otherwise be unattainable to them. Champions of embracing the belief and values of 'providing 'A Second Chance,' Constructing Hope provided Wrap-around Services and on-going support and alumni affiliation that are imperative to providing a person with an "Real" opportunity to succeed, advance and become a productive contributing member of society, capable of providing for their family.
I have personally witnessed the long hours, dedication and commitment of Patricia Daniels (Pat) to this work and organization for over a decade from her early beginnings as the receptionist for this organization while possessing a Master's Degree. When the organization fell on hard times Pat refused to let it die. She became the CEO, raised money, and cultivated an outstanding Board of Directors that are as committed to the vision, mission and values of this organization as she is. I met countless people whose lives were transformed by graduating from Constructing Hope Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program and going on to become skilled Craftsmen and Women in the Construction Trades. One of them was my own Grandson! This program gives people Pride! Dignity! Skills! And HOPE!
A Great Organization To Support ! - D. Lindsay
