Review for Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I really like the mission of Greater Chicago Food Depository. Their help is vital to many poor and homeless people in Chicago. I have been donating monthly for a while, and felt good about doing that. I imagine that it may be difficult for a busy non-profit to keep track of their
faithful supporters and the regular contributions they provide.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

change nothing. It is a state-of-the art food distribution organization that many thousands depend on. This should be your number one choice for philanthropy for the poor and hungry. Any gift to Greater Chicago Food Depository translates into supplies to pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters. One stop shopping for the poor, homeless and hungry. This is not your average church, charity or non-profit. Chicago has mobilized it's war on poverty: the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Review for Cornerstone Community Outreach, Chicago, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been donating to CCO for several years, and have found the staff to be wonderful people, that care for the homeless in the Uptown Area of Chicago. My small donations were
received with gratitude. They provide support and access to permanent housing for men, women and children. Some charities cater to a particular sex or religion, but CCO has broad shoulders and helps all, despite limited resources. I donate to them also through Amazon Smile, which remits a percentage of sales to CCO as the designated recipient. I feel good about this organization, and will support them going forward!
