Review for SAVE THEM ALL HORSE RESCUE, Elk Grove, CA, USA
Our rescue continues to be the best!!! We moved from nine (9) acres to twenty (20) acres in July 2023. we have much more space and the horses are in a safer environment. This move would not have been possible without dedicated volunteers, Boy Scouts of America and board members. We rebuilt the much needed Shelters and Lean-to's so that the horses would have some protection from the heat, rain and winds. We also installed irrigation so that the water was easily accessed. Our non-profit survives on fundraisers, collecting recyclables, selling rock and most important, donations from our donors. We currently have 20 horses!! We have 4 or 5 horses that are up for adoption and a few are in training!! Our adoption process is very thorough, our goal is to find their forever homes which means that the potential owner will be vetted to make sure that they have adequate space, a veterinarian, a farrier, and most importantly a good fit; we require references and in our contract, we make sure that they will not be breed and the potential owner will return the horse to us with a buy-back clause if for some reason the relationship does not work. We cannot thank our volunteers enough, without our volunteers we would not be able to be successful. We usually have our volunteer orientation between 4 to 6 weeks. Our volunteers are taught safety which is most important. On a normal day, we feed, muck out stalls, and work on special projects!! After our chores are done we spend time grooming and loving on our horses, they are very content!! Please visit our website at savethemallhorserescue.com and join our Facebook page!! Sign up to become a volunteer and join us on our horses' journeys!!

I have been volunteering at the rescue for 2+years. The founder Vicki is an exception woman whom I have learned so much about the care of horses and all the process of finding them their forever homes. We have orientations often where we teach the basics of being around horses, signs & process to ensure the health & safety for the horses and our volunteers. We have fundraisers to be able to supply all the necessities such as but not limited to: hay, feed, medications, medical supplies. The farrier, our horses get pedicures every six weeks, wormed every 6 months and vaccinated annually. Our fundraisers include, selling rocks, recycling, Mountain Mike's Pizza Night and we have a silent auction annually in November. We have a very thorough adoption process, we always ensure that our horses are going to the best home ever!!! We start with the application, we required references, we contact their farrier and trainer if needed. Most importantly we ensure that the horse and the perspective owner are right for each other in every way. Since I have been at the rescue which is definitely my "Happy Place", I have become the Vice-President of Save Them All Horse Rescue. Please go to our website http://www.savethemallhorserescue.com and sign up to be a volunteer or to help us with our fundraisers. With our volunteer, we would not be able to keep our rescue moving forward. Hope to see you at Save Them All Horse Rescue!!!

I’m a volunteer and I have been for a year… This horse rescue is amazing, Vicki ensures that all our horses are healthy and happy, most important she caters to all the needs. She very compassionate and empathetic. She creates a great environment for all of the volunteers, while teaching basic horse care. Our goal is to find forever homes for our horses.

Save Them All Horse Rescue is the greatest example of a Horse Rescue. The horses are very content, friendly and of course well cared for. It's amazing how calm and peaceful it is at the Rescue. Vicki has been great in teaching and educating me. I have been volunteering for a month and I am learning so much about how to tend to the horses, help repair fences, dig ditches while working as a TEAM. Save Them All Horse Rescue has become my happy place.
