I have been volunteering with GCCBC/Shelter for at least 5 years, where it has been so much fun to get to know the birds. We spend as much time with them as we can, but they really need homes. At the shelter they are well cared for, and get evaluated for health and temperament. There are around 100 birds of all kinds at any one time, that are attended to every single day by an all volunteer staff. They are fed well and get lots of fresh food. Many special needs and older birds, too.
