I would like to share my story of receiving 2 beautiful boy from Audrey and her rescue. Few months ago my husband and myself visited Majestic Wings. The facility was clean and the birds all appeared to be happy and healthy. Corkie and Peaches both came to us showing unconditional love and affection. We knew immediately it was love at first sight. Audrey told of us the life story of both the birds, and if you scroll down you will see the comment of the family that surrendered Corkie. As she tells us about Corkies story I am looking at this beautiful creature cuddling up tight to me, wondering how this boy could of held such hostility. Audrey worked with Corkie daily to bring him out of his anger stage and to the loving young man he is today. After leaving the rescue we discussed the birds to make sure my husband and myself were both on the same mindset. After all taking on 2 cockatoos is a huge commitment and a life long dedication.
I want to further say that Audrey never sold us the birds. Rather she asked that we make a donation to the rescue and when we are able to make donations of food or money. The only thing we did buy was Peach's cage.
I tried several times prior to write a review but was unable to, perhaps because I was using my phone and not a computer. I felt obliged to try today, because Audrey has had an unfortunate situation arise in which a lady who breeds birds is withholding several of Audrey's birds. The reason why this person is holding the birds and refusing to allow Audrey access to get them, I can only be speculation on my part. But I do know that several of her birds are missing and I was there when she stopped Audrey from getting her birds.
The only ones who are suffering are the birds. I hope that this lady will allow Audrey to get her birds and let their differences play out in the courts.
