Hardworking, caring, knowledgeable and the woman you go to when you need to give your feathered friends/kids a better opportunity for rehabilitation or for the time, love and devotion they deserve.
I lost my cockatoo and had so much bird stuff that I wanted to donate to a sanctuary. It took awhile to find anything remotely close, but when I found and went to visit Audrey I was shocked at the sheer size of her operation. I didn't stay long, but what I saw touched me deeply.
It seemed that she does this beyond full-time and she gives love and care to many, many birds. I met some older birds, some with health issues. Audrey knew every name, every story.
The place is clean and that's *hard* with birds. It's as spacious as could be expected. The birds have toys and enrichment, a flock if they want it and they have her respect, her knowledge and experience and her whole heart.
This is a labor of love and, should I ever be able to have another bird in my life, I'll go to Audrey.
Audrey has a beautiful heart!
Her birds come before anything else.
I have been to her sanctuary several times!
It is always clean and always beautiful!
I am honored to know and to have her in my life❤️

The Global Nest Exotic Bird Sanctuary
My family and I lived on an animal sanctuary from the time I was 6 until my adulthood. My parents managed the sanctuary for retired racehorses, abandoned and abused dogs, cats, and even a few parrots. In my adulthood, I have worked 16 years as a veterinary technician and currently own a pet sitting business. I have, over my lifetime, seen parrots in some of the best and unfortunately, some of the worst conditions. I had the pleasure of meeting Audrey and her beautiful birds recently. She was very happy to welcome me in to see her place and I have to say, I was immediately impressed. She has an entire building dedicated to housing her birds, and each of them receives time outdoors in a shaded, open air, parrot re-enforced enclosure. She knows who gets along with whom so they are allowed to socialize in small groups. Additionally, every parrot has their own personal space, although a few prefer to share with their partners, in clean roomy cages where they sleep for the night. The "bird building" is amazingly clean, not an easy feat with big birds! She makes their meals by hand twice a day. They get a colorful array of fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to a complete parrot preparation diet. There are enrichment toys EVERYWHERE to keep them entertained. All of her birds look to be in excellent health, bright-eyed, engaged, and happy (Even Oscar, who was being quite judgemental of me being in his space and talking with his mom!) She tells of each birds story and personality as if she was doting on her own children. Some of their stories are heartbreaking, but here, these birds are finally able to live large! The parrots come from backgrounds that have taught them not to trust people, but when Audrey walks in the room, you can tell they all trust her beyond measure. That's something that can only be accomplished with time, quality care, dedication, and a very loving heart. Her work has paid off. I am so glad to meet someone so dedicated to help animals where humans often fail them. Audrey is the best crazy bird lady I have met and deserves all the support she can get to keep her dream, and her beautiful birds, alive and well!
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Audrey for years, she is and always has been an extremely caring and loving person. It’s just those traits that make her “baby” Majestic Wings so special. These are not just “birds” to Audrey but family, I know they mean more to Audrey than life itself. Her “babies” couldn’t be in better hands and I’m proud to call such a selfless person my friend.
Dedication, selflessness, devotion, unconditional love and the the upmost care are only a few of the things that come to mind when I think of Audrey and her flock.
Audrey ensures to spend the time required with each of her birds to gain the trust and knowledge for their individual needs. Because of this I would never hesitate to recommend Audrey and Majestic Wings.
If you are looking for a true rescue look no further, you've found the right home! Please consider helping Majestic Wings Rescue as they rely solely on your donations. I promise you, once you meet, visit and see the love, care and bond you'll never have a doubt you made the right decision!
I have visited this Avery and I must admit that these birds live better than me! They have a home that is loving, caring and fun. Each of these birds receive daily attention, love and care, and there is not a single day where any of this flock go without.
I personally I'm afraid of birds and would never own one, However if I did and I ever needed to re home them I would not hesitate to contact Majestic wings rescue. The love, care, and attention that this flock receives is unlike anything I've ever seen before.
With that being said, I do not hesitate giving Majestic wings rescue a 5 star rating.
Now I would love to share this beautiful charity. Audrey Musso who runs this charity gives sacrificially to make sure that each and every rescue is cared for in the best way possible. She does this with very little money as she is disabled. She's very knowledgeable about birds and cares a great deal okay. I always sent her the feathers that my birds molt to help her make ends meet I cannot tell you what a beautiful person that she is inside and out,
Majestic wings is awesome audrey would rather go without before her flock would .she is 100% dedicated to her birds/flock.she lives her life around these birds she rescued and would never give up on any of them.check out her web site and her feathered family
I have known Audrey Musso for a very long time. She truly loves the birds that come into her care. She provides them with so much more than a perch and some food. She ensures that all of her flock receive proper medical care as well as all the love that pours forth from her heart. Give her rescue a call. You won't be disappointed!
Majestic Wings and Audrey Musso are so wonderful! Audrey is one of those rare people who has such genuine love and devotion for her birds...its hard to find that these days, sadly. She would do anything for any bird and it is truly an honor to know this amazing lady! Thank you for all that you do Audrey!!!
Audrey is a wonderful lady very devoted to her parrots. She has a big heart and cares for them emotionally and physically.
Majestic Wings Rescue is a very caring rescue. The love and attention given to the birds is wonderful. Audrey has a very big heart and the birds are all taken care of with love. I highly recommend this rescue. The birds are given everything they need to thrive and spread their wings!
Majestic Wings is a wonderful rescue that has taken in birds that others cannot take care of. Audrey does a wonderful job of taking care of them, all of which are very healthy, and fed the best diets. She has spent many dollars of her own monies to make sure they are properly taken care of. They are all very loved. She is a legitimate rescue and she needs all the funding that she can get, to help the birds. She does rely on donations to keep the rescue going, and some people who have never met her, write terrible things so that prople will not donate. All of which are untrue. The bird world does attract some very irrational people who do not wish to see others succeed in their rescues. This is very unfortunate, and sad, especially when Majestic Wings goes above and beyond to take care of all the birds. I personally know Audrey and she has a heart of gold and will do anything for her birds.
I visited this ladies home and she was so sweet she introduced us to everyone of the parrots and showed us around there cages was clean her house was clean birds had toys food water and places to perch.this lady and her birds are amazing.she even made are a mistake with my name and the bird laughed at us.how cute could that be?PEOPLE PLEASE MYOB AND HELP THOSE WHO ARR TRYING TO DO GOOD.
This non profit org 501C-3 ask for donations without any adoptions at all, this is for personal use and should not be non profit, check out their list of donations asked for thru google, from a/c units to macaws with colds. the aviary or sanctuary, is merely a personal collection of birds. the public has given Audrey the owner. in fact no one there holds avian degree or pet degree license, formerly from Rockingham NH. moved to South Carolina > Cassatt were she started this business. every bird has issues and she begs money for all , exotic birds do not require air conditioner as they are from climates of high temps in their native countries , before donating to this group or majestic wings rescue please google the owner and or all the non profit donations, in addition she sells their feathers and jewelry online on eBay, and is listed as 501 c 3 non profit . this is a independent organization (ie, Not affiliated with any national , regional, local organization. and is used for personal use and upgrade of the existing home and pets in their care and does not adopt the birds at all she does however love them, and want more, these birds take lots of care, to listen the bourdon she simply should adopt out to forever homes, were they could be in caring homes rather than ask for more and more money from people, in addition most all the ratings here are done thru friends and or herself to make the business look better.
I think Audrey is a great person with a really big heart who really does want to help all of the parrots she can. She can use any donations she can get to help care for the rescue birds.
Audrey (the owner) is a fantastic, kind hearted women who has worked her whole life to enhance the lives of parrots who need a second chance. She provides the very best love and care a parrot could dream of. I'm so glad I was able to cross paths with such a kind hearted soul. Her rescue is definitely one of the best I've ever been exposed to. Five stars all the way!
Just jack, you obviously have no idea of how non profits work! Every single non profit organisation works on donations. A Sanctuary does not adopt out their birds, a rescue does. How do I know this? Because I also have a parrot sanctuary. I do not adopt out my birds because a lot of them have come from abusive situations or their previous owners have specifically placed their birds with me on the understanding that they will not be adopted out. If you had read any of Audrey's posts properly she states that the birds were moved into the house as soon as there was a problem with her ac. I am so sick of people bashing her. She does her very best for the birds in her care, like all of us rescue people do. Her birds are in excellent condition and dont make any comments about Oscar. He was hurt in an altercation with another macaw. It happens when you have birds together, in a sanctuary or not. It has happened to my birds. Oscars beak is totally healed and he had the best of medical care at the time. Audrey, please ignore these idiots, (Parrot Posse) people included!!! They are not worth your time or energy. You do a wonderful job caring for your birds. It is not easy. I know. I live it every day!
I for sure can tell anyone that theese bird's are very lucky to have Audrey, I have personally witnessed the love she has for them and the love they have for her keep up the great work audrey
Majestic Wings Rescue is an amazing resource for birds in need.
I have known the caregiver, Audrey, for almost 8 years. Although I consider her a friend and confidante, I have seen her take a bird from near certain death to thriving and healing, able to live a healthy life.
Many people whom purchase these very beautiful unique birds do not realize how much of a lifetime investment they are. They let illness and injury fester until it is sometimes too late. But there is hope. There is Majestic Wings Rescue.
I have found there are bird owners whom feel they are experts and there couldn't possibly be financial assistance or donations needed for this rescue service. They are so wrong.
It is a sad truth that avian care, treatment and maintenance is very expensive.
I am thankful for people like Audrey and organizations like Majestic Wings Rescue that have no financial gain to be made. Their expertise and dedication to awareness and proper care of these living creatures is a gift.
With there being such a growing need, I wish there were more nonprofit organizations like Majestic Wings Rescue throughout the United States.
My name is Greg Kevakian and I am Executive Director of Broken Wing, a 501c3 charitable avian welfare organization based out of Arizona.
I would like to address the post authored by "Just-Jack" who claims not to be associated with the Facebook page Parrot Poop where members hide behind a few good deeds while attacking others within the avian welfare community. These people have an agenda to go after parrot sanctuaries because they believe that parrots should be adopted out and not held in a flock environment. People, like Jack, usually post derogatory comments under a false identity without having first-hand knowledge of the sanctuary they are attacking.
The truth is a lot of the parrots that are surrendered to a sanctuary are deemed "special needs" because of health or behavioral issues and thus not suitable for adoption. Without places such as Majestic Wings Rescue, these parrots would have no place to go and would perish.
You can always spot a Parrot Poop troll by some of the words they use is their comments against the sanctuary they target. An example of this would be their use of words, "beg for money." The reality is that most sanctuaries operate on a shoestring and are fully dependent on the generosity of the general public in order to save lives. There have been many times we took in a parrot on blind faith that funds would come in necessary for the parrot's survival. So far, we have never had to turn away a parrot in need. I am sure it is the same for Majestic Wings Rescue.
I have been involved with avian welfare since 2007 and I can assure you that no one is getting rich by dedicating their lives to the rescue of animals. We get involved because we have a genuine, compassionate heart for animals in distress and people in need. Every day we pray that we have enough resources to help others in need that come to us for help while at the same time have to endure daily attacks from online trolls via social media who rely solely on hearsay or post fabricated comments on a sanctuary that they have never visited personally or have done business with.
In closing, I say kudos to the good people at Majestic Wings Rescue for the good they do within the avian community.
A wonderful rescue where the birds are properly taken care of and adopted to only the right families. Their needs always come first.
I have known Audrey my whole life, she is a wonderful person. The fact that she takes in these birds and cares for them as family, is truly a blessing. She is very knowledgeable and will do whatever she can to make these neglected or orphaned birds feel loved and happy.
Each and every one has truly become part of the family. They are well taken care of and live in a great, healthy environment with a secure indoor and outdoor space that they clearly enjoy.
If this so-called 'Rescue' turns around and claims to be only a Sanctuary on their FB page which will no longer 'adopt' out birds but only will take in more while they cannot afford to care properly for the ones in their care already, but needs to beg for everything from food to the a/c she wants in a garage where the birds are and the temps reached 120 degrees, then she should at a minimum stop taking in more and FIND HOMES for the ones in her care.
Sorry, not a member of Parrot Posse. The info I refer to is from your own FB page, so that would be coming from the horse's mouth itself.
Just-Jack, you have never been to the sanctuary. I have no idea who you are and surmise you are a member of the group Parrot Poop on Facebook the makes it a standard practise, to lie, belittle and chastise other rescues. My Ac did quit, so the birds where remove safely to another building and my out buildings on the property are stick built not metal as some have said. I stand firm that anyone who writes negative things about the rescue do not know me, nor have they ever stepped foot on the property. So everything your spewing is hear say.
My husband and I love to visit all the beautiful bird's here. You can tell they are all happy and very well taken care of. Audrey is such an amazing person and loves all the bird's dearly.
This is a fantastic place, I was overwhelmed with the wonderful work that Audrey does! The dedication & care she shows to her birds is absolutely amazing! Audrey deserves all the support that she can get! I applaud your hard work and stand behind what you do!
Audrey Brigham is a Facebook friend I have been following. She cares for large birds who have their own "room." Those birds are well cared for. Audrey has shared some recipe ideas with me that I will use on my own birds. Audrey's heart is big as all outdoors, but she needs help to care for her beloved birds. I make a monthly contribution, and I am hoping others will follow suit so she can continue to house and feed the birds she holds so dear.
Majestic wings is a caring rescue. She care for her birds and there owners. She goes the extra mile. People in this line of work dont do for money. Its the love and the well fair of the bird. The investment of birds our to preserve our future of the birds. We must care for there future. Its the right thing to do.
I have it pasted in the picture below. Has I could not figure out how to post it here.
I didnt know how to write it here so my friend copied and posted it.
Because of medical issues I found that I had to rehome my Cockatoo, Charlie. I found what I was hoping would be a good home for him but the new owner found they couldn't keep Charlie. She knew Audrey and since I couldn't take Charlie back I entrusted him to Audrey. It is the best decision that could have been made. He is so well taken care of and I know she always does what is best for the birds in her care. Thank you Audrey and much love to Charlie.
I'm a donor and a client served. Audrey stepped in when no one else would. Our 5 yr old Umbrella developed severe hormonal behavior issues. Our avian vet suggested sanctuary or euthanasia. Corkie had the potential for love and affection, but not in a home with a family. Audrey took him in and very shortly had him integrated with the other birds in the aviary. He loves the outdoor aviary and has special friends. Audrey works tirelessly to provide a clean environment, healthy foods, and enriching toys and activities. That's why I chose to become a donor as well.
I knew Majestic Wings for awhile but really saw the love and compassion that is Majestic Wings when one of the Macaws there was injured by another. This is when I really saw the love and altruistic giving of Audrey for the birds in her care.
I donate what little I can in bird food to this rescue because I have been impressed with their work ethic and how they take in birds in need. There is a shortage of places for abandoned birds to go, so I am happy places like this exist.
I'm giving this nonprofit five stars because of the genuine caring that Audrey gives her birds. One only has to visit the rescue to see that she is an honest, upfront caregiver. She cares for the animals like they are the valuable creatures they are. Speaking of value, she provides a valuable service to the community that is lacking except from individual-based non-profit organizations that are not government supported as the humane society is, yet she does not turn away an animal in need.
There is an inside and outside aviary, Audrey is knowledgeable with birds, and drives hours to take them to an avian vet because there is not one close by to her. If you are thinking of using her services or donating, I implore you to ask contact her with questions or concerns you have. She is very candid.
I didn't have to leave a bird with Majestic Wings Rescue (and Audrey), but because of circumstances beyond my control, both Audrey and I felt that he would be better off with her. She graciously took in my little green fellow, and he is much happier with her. I am grateful for her care of him. While I was at the Rescue, I got to tour the facility and meet the other birds living there. I liked the inside and outside aviary. The birds were happy and well-taken care of. I am eternally grateful for the care that this organization and Audrey provide for the needy animals in residence.
The best place ever! Audrey really cares about all of her birds and she is a sweet loving, caring woman. She would take in any bird in need. They all have out door time, great food, clean cages. If I was a bird in need I would live here.
Clean, bright, sunny, outdoor play area segregated for safety. Cages, water bowls and food clean. Much nicer than many home aviaries I have seen. They are a nonprofit organizaion and rely heavily on donations and this woman is taking care of these babies herself. She needs financial support especially with winter coming. Please consider supporting her endevour at paypal.me/Audreymusso.
She really loves her birds. Majestic Wings spends most of her time with her birds, and travels hours for proper vet care.
This is Oscar he is recovering from a bite from another Macaw that almost cost Oscar his top beak. The accident was January 27th 2017, it has cost over 4,000.00 to reair him so far in vet fees and surgical fees. Mostly all raised through donations. As a parrot rescue there are so many of us that need financial and supplies support to continue to take in and care for these special babies.
