Review for Pawsitive Alliance, Bellevue, WA, USA
Pawsitive Alliance is helping cats and dogs thrive, from increasing adoption of shelter animals, with a focus on long-term homeless pets, to preventing pet homelessness through increasing spay and neuter, as well as pet retention efforts.
The free pet supply events are focused on helping unhoused and financially strapped folks take care of their pets, meeting people where they are to reduce access barriers, and not putting limits on the quantity of supplies they can take.
The pet ID program is addressing the #1 reason pets are in shelters: they lack identification, and few are found by their distraught families.
The Spay and Neuter Increase Program (SNIP) is working upstream to tackle the large amounts of unaltered pets and their unplanned litters flooding shelters and rescues.
Pawsitive Alliance is a volunteer-powered nonprofit working across Washington, helping thousands of cats and dogs in need of safe and loving homes, one animal at a time.
Review for Pawsitive Alliance, Bellevue, WA, USA
Pawsitive Alliance is committed to helping pets in need across WA state by increasing shelter adoptions, providing affordable spay & neuter, and helping keep pets safe and cared for.
I have volunteered in numerous capacities and, most recently, we've started distributing free pet supplies to folks who need some helping caring for their pets, it has been a very rewarding experience. Pawsitive Alliance serves a unique and special role serving pets in need, and the people who care for them, across Washington.
Review for Pawsitive Alliance, Bellevue, WA, USA
In 2005, I co-founded Pawsitive Alliance to help prevent pet homelessness and increase the number of cats and dogs adopted in response to the thousands of healthy, homeless cats and dogs being euthanized in Washington state.
Since then, Pawsitive Alliance has been focused on increasing adoptions of shelter animals to help the already homeless find loving homes; paired with this, in order to prevent cats and dogs from becoming homeless, our focus areas include providing low-cost/free spay and neuter programs along with resources to keep pets in homes.
Pawsitive Alliance has programs and resources in areas across Washington state with high rates of pet homelessness. We also focus on the most vulnerable animals and have programs to support them including:
-#WhyNotMePets to help long term homeless pets find loving homes;
-provide resources to the pets of the homeless community; and,
-create and grow low cost/free spay and neuter programs where there few or none.
Pawsitive Alliance is an effective organization helping provide a healthy and happy home for cats and dogs in Washington state because they all deserve that chance.
